Steps:
- Mix all items together except the additional 1 cup of cheddar cheese that you will use to roll the ball inches.
- With a spoon pull mixture toward middle of the bowl and try to form a ball.
- Then cover and place in refrigerator until chilled and firm.
- After it has chilled, it will be easier to work with.
- Roll the cheese mixture into a ball and roll in additional cup of grated cheddar cheese.
- Roll until all sides are coated and press the cheese into the ball.

CHEDDAR CHEESE BALL
Covered with poppy seeds, this ebony-and-orange cheese ball makes a scrumptious Halloween party snack. Shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese, sour cream, dry sherry, and butter are whipped in a food processor, then transferred to a large bowl to chill until firm.

- Process all ingredients except poppy seeds in a food processor until smooth. Transfer to a large bowl lined with plastic wrap. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
- Unmold onto a plate. Press poppy seeds evenly over surface, rounding top.
SHARP CHEDDAR CHEESE BALL
This is a must at any family event my grandmother hosts! It's always out on the counter the whole time we're there...but it never lasts long.

- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Stir in shredded cheeses, 1/2 cup bacon, 1/4 cup pecans, onion, pimientos, pickle relish, salt and pepper. CREAM AND CHEDDAR CHEESE BALL
Very tasty, and quick to prepare, with a minimum of ingredients. McLaren's Imperial Cheese (red container, black lid) is I believe a Canadian product from the Kraft family. It's described as a "Sharp Cold Pack Cheddar". If this particular brand is not available to you, I would think any sharp cheddar would work equally as well. Best made the day before serving. Cooking time indicates minimum chilling time.
