This is a delicious stew! Easy to make and wonderful to eat. Great for those chilly days watching football games.

Steps:

  • Place the bratwurst, potatoes, minced onion, green beans, red pepper, Cheddar cheese, mushroom soup and water into a slow cooker. Cover, and cook on medium for 3 hours, or until potatoes are fork-tender.

1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
⅔ cup water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Stir all the ingredients together in a large bowl.
  • Add some milk to thin it out.
  • Put in oven-proof pot or dish and bake for 30-45 minutes.
  • Note: Under-cook the potatoes slightly or they will get mushy.

4 -5 medium cooked potatoes, peeled and chopped
2 (15 ounce) cans cut green beans, drained
1 (1 lb) package Eckrich smoked sausage
2 (15 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
milk

  • Place the brats or sausage, potatoes, minced onion, green beans, red pepper, cheddar cheese, Velveeta Cheese, soup, hot sauce and milk into a slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on medium for 3 hours or until potatoes are fork tender. If too thick, add a little more milk.
  • Serve with extra cheddar cheese and chopped scallions.
