SPINACH CHEESE PINWHEELS

Crescent roll dough hurries along these pretty pinwheels from Diane Robbins of McCleary, Washington. You can prepare a plate of them in about half an hour, then serve them as appetizers or to round out a meal.

Spinach Cheese Pinwheels image

Steps:

  • Separate crescent dough into four rectangles; seal perforations. Spread cheese over each rectangle to within 1/4 in. of edges; top with ham and spinach. , Roll up each jelly-roll style, starting with a short side; pinch seams to seal. Cut each into six slices., Place the slices cut side down on a greased baking sheets. Bake at 400° for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm. Refrigerate leftovers.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425ºF.
  • Grease cookie sheet.
  • Mix Bisquick, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and water until dough forms - Turn dough onto surface dusted with Bisquick; gently roll in Bisquick to coat and knead 10 times.
  • Roll the dough into 18x10-inch rectange and brush with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle with cheeses.
  • Tightly roll up dough, pinching the edges to seal.
  • Cut roll into eighteen 1-inch slices and place on cookie sheet.
  • Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until golden.
  • Heat pizza sauce until hot and serve along with pinwheels for dipping.

Easy 3-Ingredient Cheese Pinwheels image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Dust a flat work surface lightly with flour. Unroll puff pastry and roll out to a rectangle. Spread a thin layer of herbed cream cheese over the puff pastry. Cover with Swiss cheese slices, leaving a 1-inch border. Roll puff pastry up tightly like a jelly roll.
  • Slice puff pastry roll in 1/4-inch-thick slices and lay on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven on the center rack until lightly browned and puffed up, 15 to 20 minutes.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a small bowl, combine herbs, garlic, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. On a lightly floured work surface, unfold puff pastry. Spread pastry with herb mixture and roll up. With a sharp knife, cut into 1/4-inch-thick rounds. Arrange rounds on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake until puffed and golden on edges, 15 minutes. Let cool on sheet on a wire rack, 10 minutes. Store in an airtight container, up to 3 days.
