CHOCOLATE FONDUE BANANA BREAD BOAT RECIPE BY TASTY

Chocolate Fondue Banana Bread Boat Recipe by Tasty image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350˚F (180˚C).
  • In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork.
  • Add in the oil, egg, sugar, and vanilla. Stir until combined.
  • Add in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Stir until just combined.
  • Pour the banana bread batter into a greased loaf pan.
  • Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the cream, milk and chocolate, and melt over low heat.
  • Add the vanilla and stir to combine. Remove from heat, and cover with a lid.
  • Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 30 minutes, then remove from the loaf pan and place on a serving dish.
  • Using a knife cut a rectangle out of the top center of the loaf, leaving a 2- to 3-inch (5 cm to 7cm) perimeter of banana bread, making sure to not slice through the bread. Cut the rectangle into 2-inch (5-cm) slices. Gently pull out each slice one at a time. Press the crumbs into the base of the cut out bread.
  • Reheat the chocolate if needed then pour the chocolate into the banana bread boat.
  • Place sliced bananas, strawberries, and the inside of the banana bread around the fondue boat.
  • Enjoy!

Steps:

  • Heat 1/2 cup cream in a heavy non-reactive saucepot over moderate heat until cream comes to a low boil. Remove the pan from the heat and add chocolate. Let the chocolate stand in hot cream 3 to 5 minutes to soften, then whisk chocolate together with the cream. Stir in liqueur and/or chopped nuts and transfer the fondue to a fondue pot or set the mixing bowl on a rack above a small lit candle. If fondue becomes too thick, stir in reserved cream, 1 tablespoon at a time, to desired consistency. Arrange your favorite dippables in piles on a platter along side chocolate fondue with fondue forks, bamboo skewers or seafood forks, as utensils, for dipping.

Toasted Marshmallow, Charred Bread, and Banana Sticks with Chocolate Fondue image

Steps:

  • Make the chocolate fondue: Place chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Bring cream to a simmer in a medium saucepan set over a campfire or on a medium-high grill; pour over chocolate. Let stand for 5 minutes. Whisk until smooth. Whisk in bourbon.
  • Make the skewers: Thread bread, bananas, and marshmallows onto 8 skewers. Toast over campfire. Serve with chocolate fondue for dipping.

Steps:

  • Preheat the fryer. Spread 1 tablespoon of the melted chocolate over each wonton, leaving a 1/2 inch border. Place the banana on the bottom edge of each wonton. Lightly wet the edges of each wonton with the butter. Fold in the ends toward the center about 1/4-inch. Then, beginning at the bottom, roll up the wonton securely, pressing to close. Fry until the bananas are golden, about 3 minutes, stirring constantly for overall browning. Remove and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with the powdered sugar. To serve, place a scoop of the ice cream in the center of each shallow bowl. Lay two of the fried bananas next to each scoop of ice cream. Drizzle with the chocolate sauce.

  • In a small bowl, combine the banana, sugar and walnuts. Using a pastry brush, lightly brush the edges of each won ton wrapper. Put about a teaspoon of the chocolate-hazelnut spread in the center of each wrapper and top with 1 to 2 teaspoons of the banana mixture. Fold 1 corner of each won ton wrapper diagonally over the filling to form a triangle. Press the edges together to seal and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  • Fill a large heavy-bottomed saucepan with about 3/4-inch oil. Heat over medium heat until a deep-frying thermometer inserted in the oil reaches 375 degrees F.   • Peel and cut the banana and core and slice the apple. Place the bananas slices, apple slices and strawberries in separate piles on a serving plate. Sprinkle the banana and apple slices with the orange juice and toss gently. Cover the fruit with plastic wrap and refrigerate while you make the fondue.
  • In a medium saucepan whisk together the cocoa powder and sugar. Gradually pour in the evaporated milk and whisk well to make a paste. Place the saucepan over a low heat and cook, stirring constantly, until simmering. Remove from the heat and whisk in the vanilla and chocolate and stir until the chocolate is melted. Steps:

  • For the ice cream: Add 1 at a time through the feed opening of a running blender, shredded coconut, sugar, coconut milk, coconut extract, and vanilla extract. Pour into a bowl and stir in the milk and cream. Freeze in ice cream maker until desired consistency is achieved, about 20 to 25 minutes and reserve in freezer until needed.
  • In a small saucepan, heat the chocolate syrup and the sachet of five-spice over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes to infuse flavors. Remove from heat and bring to room temperature.
  • Heat oil in deep-fryer to 375 degrees F, or as directed in the manufacturer's instructions for similar foods.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, and baking powder. Add seltzer water in a stream while whisking constantly. Dip the bananas in the batter to coat and add to the deep-fryer basket which has been immersed in the oil.
