CIAO BELLA WATERMELON GRANITA

Nothing screams summer like watermelon and this granita is one fantastic treat. Granita is an Italian frozen dessert made from fruit, sugar, and a liquid. It's frozen and scraped with a fork to create a texture like a snow cone. With a hint of tang from the lime and a bit of sweetness, this yummy granita will be sure to refresh and cool you down on a hot summer day.

Steps:

  • Puree all ingredients in a food processor or blender and place in a shallow pan.
  • Freeze for several hours or overnight.
  • To serve scrape with a fork and scoop into bowls.

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Puree until smooth. Pour into a shallow, wide pan and freeze for 1 hour. Rake mixture with fork and freeze for another hour. Rake and freeze for one more hour. Rake and serve in cups.
