- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water, and let stand for 3 minutes. Add cake mix, 1 cup flour, eggs, oil, and salt; beat well. Stir in remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead on well floured surface for about 5 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, and turn to coat the dough surface. Let rise until doubled in bulk, about 45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Punch down, and divide into two equal parts. Roll out each section on a lightly floured surface. Spread each with softened butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll up like jelly rolls and cut buns 1 1/2 inches thick with a piece of dental floss or a dull knife. Place in greased baking pans, and allow to rise until doubled.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, combine confectioners sugar, 1/4 cup melted butter, vanilla, and milk. Remove baked buns from oven and drizzle with frosting.

CINNAMON BEANS
The flavor is different from most bean recipes. My Aunt used to fix beans with cinnamon. I loved them. This is my version. Best if made day before and reheated.

- Soak beans overnight in enough water to cover
- Next day, drain beans
- Add fresh water to cover and simmer 1 hour.
- In skillet, saute in olive oil, onion, bell pepper, spices, salt and pepper. Add to beans. Cover with water to about 2" above beans. Stir well. Stirring occasionally,simmer 1 to 2 hours until beans are tender. (For "brothy" beans, add more water. Adjust salt.
CRISPY CINNAMON GARBANZO BEANS

- 1. Soak the beans overnight in cool water. Drain and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2. Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 3. In a bowl, toss the beans with the vegetable oil and sugar.
- 4. Spread them in a single layer on an ungreased baking sheet. Roast them in the oven until crunchy and no longer soft in the centers, about 45 minutes. (Stir them a few times to prevent burning.)
- 5. Immediately toss the beans in a bowl with the cinnamon and salt. Cool and serve, or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.

- Warm oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in onion, and cook about 2 minutes; then stir in garlic, and cook until onion is soft and translucent. Stir in tomatoes, cilantro, and sugar. Season with cayenne pepper, chili powder, cumin, and ground cinnamon. Cook for 10 minutes. Stir in black beans, and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer 1 hour or longer.
