- Boil water and steep teabags and spices for 5 minutes. Strain through coffee filter or cheesecloth to remove spices. Return to pot and add remaining ingredients. Heat till steaming. Serve with candy cane in mug.

- Combine liquids in coffee percolator.
- Place sugar and spices in brew basket.
- Perk as you would coffee.
- Serve hot.

COFFEE POT WASSAIL (SALLYE)
This is an easy version of the traditional English wassail. It's a snap to make and leaving it in the percolator keeps it warm and ready to serve.

Steps:
- Place brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves and salt in the top basket. Set aside.
- Place all remaining ingredients in the pot.
- Return basket to top of pot.
- Switch pot on and percolate as you normally would coffee or other beverages. Wait for the wonderful smells to surround you.
