Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with aluminum foil.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ketchup, tomato juice, salt, pepper, red pepper, eggs, bread crumbs, onion, and mustard for meatloaf until well mixed. Press meat mixture into the prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, combine ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar for topping until smooth. Spread brown sugar mixture over meatloaf.
- Bake in preheated oven 35 to 45 minutes, until no longer pink. Drain off fat. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

COTTAGE MEATLOAF WITH BUSY DAY SAUCE
The meat recipe is from Great American Recipes Card and the sauce is from My Great Recipes Card. Don't like the meat mix for one and the sauce was too boring for the other. Together though, they make one fantastic meatloaf.

Steps:
- Set oven to 350 degrees.
- In large bowl combine 1/2 cup ketchup, tomato juice, salt, black and red peppers, eggs, bread crumbs, onions and mustard. Mix until thoroughly blended.
- Add ground beef. Mix gently but thoroughly.
- Line a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan with foil. Press in the beef mixture.
- In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, 2/3 cup ketchup, ginger, soy sauce and mustard. Spread over top of loaf.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until done.
- Drain off fat. Rest meat loaf 5 minutes before serving.

Steps:
- Crumble beef into large bowl. Add salt. Sprinkle crumbs and milk. Let stand a few minutes until crumbs are soft. Blend together.
- Mix in egg and onion, sage, thyme, nutmeg and black pepper, mixing well. Shape into 4 loaves. Place on foil-lined baking sheet about 3 inches apart.
- Mix brown sugar, catsup, ginger and garlic salt, soy sauce and mustard. Spread mixture over tops of loaves.
- Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.

Steps:
- Combine croutons & milk in a large mixing bowl.
- Let stand about 5 minutes or till croutons are softened.
- Add egg, Worcestershire sauce, onion and salt.
- Beat well.
- Add ground beef and mix until combined.
- Shape into loaf and place in greased or foil lined shallow pan.
- Score loaf by making several grooves across top.
- Fill with catsup (I frost the whole loaf with catsup).
- Bake in oven at 350° about 45 minutes to an hour or till well glazed.

I've been making this for years it's a huge family hit. Not sure where I gathered the recipe from but I remember right before I got married I made this folder of recipes I wanted to try on the new hubby. Well this is one that has stuck. It's still in the orginal folder and I use it all the time.

- In a large bowl, combine first 12 ingredients. Mix until thoroughly blended.
- Add bread crumbs and rice. Mix again.
