SLOW-COOKER CRAB DIP

With just 10 minutes of prep time, this creamy and delicious crab dip couldn't be easier. The recipe comes from my hometown cookbook, and my co-workers rave about it at every work potluck! -Julie Novotney, Rockwell, Iowa

Steps:

  • In a 1-1/2-qt. slow cooker, combine first 5 ingredients. Stir in crab. Cook, covered, on low 2-3 hours, until heated through., Just before serving, sprinkle with almonds. Serve with crackers.

Steps:

  • Place cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic salt and Worcestershire sauce into a crock pot.
  • Mix well, then add sherry, onions and crab meat and mix lightly.
  • Cover, cook on low for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours.

  • Combine the cream cheese and whipping cream in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and heat on High until the cheese is melted, about 45 minutes.
  • Add the Parmesan cheese, crab meat, onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic and stir thoroughly.
  • Cover; cook on High for 30 minutes.
  • Shortly before serving, add the lemon juice and mix thoroughly.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Sprinkle the top with fresh minced chives as a garnish.
