SLOW COOKER MACARONI AND CHEESE

Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese image

Steps:

  • In a large 4-quart slow cooker sprayed with cooking spray, mix the macaroni, evaporated milk, milk, butter, salt, pepper, eggs and all but 1/2 cup of the grated cheese. Sprinkle the reserved cheese over the top of the mixture and then sprinkle with paprika. Cover and cook on low heat for 3 hours and 15 minutes. Turn off the slow cooker, stir the mixture and serve hot.

Cooking spray
8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked
One 12-ounce can evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups whole milk
1/4 cup (1/2 stick ) of butter, melted
1 teaspoon salt
Dash of pepper
2 large eggs, beaten
Two 10-ounce bricks sharp Cheddar cheese, grated (about 5 cups)
Dash of paprika

Slow Cooker Mac and Cheese image

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, 8 minutes. Drain and transfer pasta to slow cooker.
  • Add butter to pasta and stir until melted; season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle about 1/2 the Cheddar cheese over pasta and stir.
  • Whisk evaporated milk and eggs together in a bowl until smooth; stir into pasta mixture.
  • Whisk milk and Cheddar cheese soup together in a bowl until smooth; stir into pasta mixture. Sprinkle remaining cheese over pasta mixture; garnish with paprika.
  • Cook on Low for 3 hours.

Steps:

  • Coat crock pot with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl beat eggs with evaporated milk, and milk.
  • Mix in pasta and all cheese except about 1/2 cup.
  • Put mixture in slow cooker and sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  • Cook on low for 6 hours.
  • Do not lift lid or stir!

Crock pot Macaroni & Cheese: I had first tasted this at a get together, and was briefly told the recipe. Discouraged that I didn't write it down, I improvised and came up with a master piece. It's to die for. I've done it for my family & friends all over and they too want the recipe.

Crock Pot Macaroni & Cheese (Crockpocaroni) image

Steps:

  • Boil elbows until done.
  • Drain, and rinse.
  • Pour 1/2 into 6 quart Crock Pot.
  • Add 1/2 of the evaporated milk.
  • Add 2 Cups of Shredded Cheese.
  • Stir a little.
  • Pour remaining elbows.
  • Pour in rest of milk.
  • Add rest of Shredded cheese.
  • Beat eggs, and add in garlic, salt & pepper.
  • Pour over noodles and stir.
  • Cover, and cook on high for 3-5 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • When finished, wait until cooled down and enjoy!

  • Lightly coat the inside of a 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick spray. Add the evaporated milk, whole milk, sour cream, mustard, 1 tablespoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon each of black pepper and cayenne; whisk to combine. Add the pasta and stir to coat. Reserve 1/2 cup of the grated cheese, then add the remaining cheese to the slow cooker; stir until just combined. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours.
  • Meanwhile, in a medium skillet, melt the butter over moderate heat. Add the thyme, breadcrumbs, 1 teaspoon of salt and the remaining 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne, if using, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the crumbs are golden brown and fragrant, about 6 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the parsley.
  • Uncover the slow cooker, stir the mac and cheese and top with the reserved 1/2 cup of grated cheese. Cover and cook on low until the cheese is melted and the sauce is thickened, 10 to 15 minutes longer. Top the macaroni and cheese with the seasoned breadcrumbs and serve immediately.
