NANNY'S NEWFOUNDLAND TEA BISCUITS
My nanny used to make these tea biscuits all the time. One of my favorite memories of visiting Newfoundland is standing at the kitchen table as she made these and gave us a little bit of the raw dough to taste. They're light and delicious! Serve hot with butter and jam.

DIANE'S NEWFIE TEA BUNS
These tea buns are really good. The recipe has been given to my friend Bonnie who lives in Vermont and she has passed it on to her friend. I hope you enjoy them.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375'F. To a large bowl add the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix it through.
- Add butter and cut in until the butter is about the size of a nickle. In a small bowl beat eggs, milk and 1 tsp. vanilla. Mix this in with the flour mixture and then add raisins.
- Lightly flour a cutting board or piece of waxed paper and pat out the dough to about 1&1/2 inches. Cut out buns using a small juice glass or deep cookie cutter. Bake in a preheated oven at 375'F. for 15 mins. or until lightly brown. These can be frozen and then microwaved for 30 secs or so. You can have a great tea bun any time!
DIANE'S BAKED BEANS
I think the bacon (and amount of it!) on top is what makes these baked beans taste so great! They are always gobbled up, even by people who claim not to really care for baked beans, that much. Oh, and they're really easy, too! :-)
