BARBECUE BEEF SANDWICHES

These full-flavored sandwiches really hit the spot after a busy day. They're easy to make and have a fantastic blend of seasonings-no one can eat just one!

Barbecue Beef Sandwiches image

Steps:

  • In a skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Cook the beef, onion and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add all remaining ingredients except buns. Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes. Serve on buns.

1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 medium green pepper, chopped
3/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1 tablespoon vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
Hamburger buns

I made this a few years back in a hurry one day and now we make this in our regular meal rotation! My son has been cooking and he loves to make this for us!

Steps:

  • 1. 1.In a large mixing bowl combine ground beef then add bread crumbs, milk, egg and package of beefy onion soup then mix all together with your hands. Form beef into 4-5 patties.
  • 2. 2.In a large skillet, Saute` beef patties in a little oil until brown on both sides. Set patties aside.
  • 3. 3.Add French onion Soup to skillet, stir
  • 4. 4.Mix water and corn starch and add to soup in skillet stirring until slightly thickened.
  • 5. 5.Return beef patties to pan and spoon gravy on top. Cover and let finish cooking about 10-15 more minutes.

1 lb ground beef
1/2 c bread crumbs, dry
1/2 c milk, 1%
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
1 can(s) french onion soup
2 Tbsp cornstarch
1/2 c water

Very Best Barbecue Beef Sandwiches image

Steps:

  • Cut roast in half. Place in a 5-qt. slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, onion, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, celery seed, paprika and pepper; pour over roast. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until meat is tender., Remove meat. Skim fat from cooking juices; transfer to a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Combine cornstarch and water until smooth; gradually stir into juices. Return to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened., When meat is cool enough to handle, shred with two forks. Return to slow cooker and stir in sauce mixture; heat through. Serve on rolls with pickle slices if desired.

2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons cold water
12 kaiser rolls, split
Dill pickle slices, optional

I like fast and easy meals in the summer, I have two grandkids that live with me and finding meals that thay will eat can be a problem... But lucky for me this is a hit with the kids and put a nice salad with it, it's a mesl , fast and easy.

Steps:

  • Cook and stir onions and peppers in a none-stick skillet on medium-high heat, for about 2-3 minutes. Add meat and cook until meat is cooked .
  • Stir in barbecue sauce and cook 2-3 minutes more, or until heated through.
  • Spoon meat mixture onto sub rolls, top with tomatoes and cheese then place in a broiler until cheese has melted and bread is nicely browned.
