DORITO SANDWICH (FOR KIDS)
Sounds gross, and probably is. A friend of mine (yes, an adult)has been eating this since she was little and apparently still eats it. I was so intrigued by the odd-ballness of this sandwich that I thought I should post it.

KID-PLEASING SLOPPY JOES
This is one of my kids' favorite recipes! I could make this five times in a row and they'd never get tired of it. It's easy to make and a real quick, hot meal for those busy nights. I will add cheese on top of the sandwiches or warm the rolls in the oven. I occasionally add mild banana peppers on top for my husband since he is a fan of spicy things.

Steps:
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef and onion in the hot skillet until beef is completely browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease. Return skillet to heat.
- Stir ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard into the beef mixture; simmer, stirring occasionally, until the liquid is thick, 15 to 20 minutes.

- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook for about 5 minutes or until soft and translucent, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle flour over onions, stir and cook for about 1 minute (this will remove the "raw" flour taste). Slowly whisk in chicken broth until smooth. Add tomatoes and chili powder; stir and simmer for a few minutes or until slightly thickened. Stir in sour cream until incorporated. Taste and season (I usually add at least 1/2 t salt, keeping in mind that the Doritos are already salty so I slightly under-season).
- Pour half of Doritos over the bottom of a greased casserole dish. Pour chicken mixture over then top with remaining crushed Doritos. Bake for 20 minutes or so, or until casserole is hot and bubbly.
