Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Drain 1 can of peaches; reserve the syrup from the other. Place the butter in a 9- by 12-inch ovenproof baking dish. Heat the butter on the stove or in the oven until it's melted. In a medium bowl, mix the flour and sugar. Stir in the milk and the reserved syrup. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Arrange the peaches over the batter. Bake for 1 hour. The cobbler is done when the batter rises around the peaches and the crust is thick and golden brown. Serve warm with fresh whipped cream
- Chill a large metal mixing bowl and the wire beater attachment in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Pour the chilled cream and sugar into the cold mixing bowl and beat until it forms soft peaks, about 5 minutes. The mixture should hold its shape when dropped from a spoon. Don't overbeat or you'll have sweetened butter!

EASY SUMMER PEACHES & CREAM COBBLER
Since our usual Farmers Market near the house hasn't opened yet, I bought Sweet southern peaches at a local store that sells only local farms' fruits & veggies, & decided to make a simple cobbler. I've always loved peaches served in a bowl w/ a drizzle of real cream & decided to make it into an easy cobbler. It was a smile...

Steps:
- 1. In large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt and 1/2 cup of the sugar. Whisk in the light cream just until a little smooth, ( there may be a few lumps, that's o.k. u don't want to over mix this.)
- 2. Heat oven to 350 and spray a 9" x 13" baking pan w/ olive oil cooking spray or u can rub some Crisco into the bottom and up the sides of the pan. Pour the whisked mix into pan, even it out w/ a spatula.
- 3. Spoon peaches evenly over batter, do NOT stir. Sprinkle the top of peaches w/ remaining 1 cup of sugar. Bake 1 hr or until light brown and bubbly. I would check it at 45 minutes, just because everyone's stoves are different & in fact my cobbler took 50 mins. I would serve w/ homemade whipped cream or just drizzle w/ more light cream. Best served warm.
