ORANGE JELLO DELIGHT

This is a refreshing jello dessert that will top off any meal- light or heavy. Many combinations of jello and fruit may be used instead of the oranges and orange jello try- strawberry jello and fresh berries come to mind or canned peach slices and peach jello so many ideas you are bound to find one that suits your family.

Orange Jello Delight image

Steps:

  • 1. Stir boiling water into jello in a medium bowl stirring until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water. Chill about 1 1/2 hours or until slightly thickened(so it looks like raw egg whites)
  • 2. Reserve a few orange segments for garnish, and gently stir in remaining ones into the jello; set aside.
  • 3. Beat cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Gently stir in by hand the topping. Spoon jello into glass cake pan or bowl. Cover with jello mixture; then spread topping over jello, and place orange pieces or nuts on top. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.

2 1/2 c boiling water
2 pkg 3 oz. ea. orange jello
11 oz can drained, mandarin oranges
4 oz pkg. cream cheese, softened
3 Tbsp granulated sugar
8 oz tub thawed cool whip
chopped walnuts, optional

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, bring pineapple to a boil over medium heat. Remove from the heat; stir in gelatin until dissolved. Chill until slightly thickened, about 30 minutes. Stir in cottage cheese and whipped topping. Cover and refrigerate until thickened.

Fluffy Cranberry Delight image

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, bring the cranberries, sugar and water to a boil. Reduce heat and cook until berries burst. Strain through a food mill or sieve into a large bowl. , Stir in the gelatin, lemon juice and orange juice. Cool until mixture coats the back of a spoon. , In a small bowl, whip cream until soft peaks form. Add confectioners' sugar and vanilla; beat until stiff peaks form. Fold into cranberry mixture. Chill until set.

Summer Strawberry Jello Delight! image

Steps:

  • Chop each strawberry into small pieces; eighths.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, mix jello powder and boiling water until dissolved.
  • Place cornstarch into a measuring cup and add 2 tablespoons of cold water. Mix throughly so that there are no lumps. Add remaining cold water up to complete the 1 cup.
  • Add cold water mixture to jello mixture. Stir throughoutly.
  • Fill your dessert dishes up half way with the jello mixture.
  • Add chopped strawberries and top off with remaining jello mixture.
  • Serve alone or with coolwhip!
