PEANUT BUTTER BLOSSOM COOKIES

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cream butter, peanut butter and sugars until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in egg. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; beat into peanut butter mixture., Drop by level tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake until light brown, 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven; immediately push a chocolate kiss into the top of each cookie. Cool on pans 2 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks to cool completely.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cut butter into cake mix in large bowl, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Stir in egg and water until well blended.
  • Shape dough into 1/2 inch balls and roll in the walnuts, pressing nuts gently into dough.
  • Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 12 minutes or until puffed and nearly set.
  • Place a chocolate star in the center of each cookie and bake for 1 minute more.
  • Cool for 2 minutes on cookie sheets, then move to wire racks to cool completely.
  • Makes 4 dozen cookies.
