- Preheat oven to 450°. In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir 3-4 minutes or until tender. Stir in garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Cool completely., In a large bowl, combine baking mix, thyme and onion mixture; make a well in center. Pour milk into well; stir just until moistened. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto a greased baking sheet., Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

- Preheat oven to 375°. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, garlic powder and onion powder until blended. In another bowl, toss Colby-Monterey Jack cheese with Italian cheese blend., On a lightly floured surface, unroll breadstick dough; press perforations to seal. Roll dough to a 12x8-in. rectangle; cut dough lengthwise in half., Spread each 12x4-in. rectangle with half of the cream cheese mixture to within 1/4-in. of edges. Sprinkle each with half of the combined cheeses; roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a long side. Pinch seam to seal. Cut rolls into 1-in. slices., Place beaten egg and Parmesan cheese in separate shallow bowls. Dip a cut side of each slice in egg, then in Parmesan cheese; place slices in greased mini muffin cups, cheese side up., Bake until golden brown, 17-20 minutes. Serve warm.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Position a rack over a baking sheet.
- Melt the butter with the garlic in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Brush both sides of the muffins with the garlic butter and place them split-side up on the rack. Sprinkle with the Parmesan. Bake until browned, about 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
GARLIC-ONION TORTILLA STACK

- Add the garlic to a skillet over low heat with a little olive oil and cook until the garlic just squishes.
- Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, heat the canola oil. Add the onions and cook until lightly browned but not overly dark, about 5 minutes, stirring regularly. Add the butter and sugar and cook until the onions have thoroughly browned, 20 to 25 minutes.
- Add the roasted garlic, Parmesan, mayonnaise, cilantro and salt and pepper to taste and stir to combine. Remove from the heat, transfer to a medium bowl and set aside to cool. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Reserve one-third of the mixture in the refrigerator to use to make the dipping sauce. Evenly spread the remaining mixture on the top of 11 of the tortillas. Stack the tortillas on top of one another and top with the remaining tortilla. Wrap the tortilla stack in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours to set up.
- Preheat a grill to medium. Cut the stack into 16 wedges. Using tongs, grill each wedge on the cut sides until it's warmed and grill marks appear.
- Mix the reserved onion mixture with the balsamic vinegar to make a dipping sauce; season to taste. Serve the wedges with the dipping sauce.
CHICKEN WITH ONIONS AND GARLIC

- Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Rinse chicken pieces; pat dry. Brush chicken with butter, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Place chicken in a small roasting pan. Arrange onions, garlic, and thyme sprigs over and under chicken. Roast; after 20 minutes, baste with pan drippings. Continue roasting until chicken is golden and cooked through, 15 to 20 minutes more. Transfer the chicken to a platter, and set aside.
- Pour pan drippings through a sieve into a small bowl; discard solids. Arrange onions and all but three garlic cloves around chicken on platter. Whisk remaining garlic cloves with pan juices. Strain juices again; discard solids. Pour sauce over chicken; serve garnished with thyme sprigs.
