Steps:
- Bring all ingredients EXCEPT EVERCLEAR to a soft boil. Simmer for 30-45 minutes.
- Let cool and stir in Everclear. If you prefer a clear liquid, strain the mixture before adding the Everclear.
- I store the majority of it in the juice bottles that it came inches For gifts, I either pour into a mason jar with a fresh cinnamon stick or pretty glass bottle with a cork or stopper.
- Store in the fridge, serve hot, like regular cider or iced. Also great for mixing into other cocktails.
- I serve this with Arroz con Leche on cold nights for dessert.

This is a recipe my friend Jenny gave me, and if anyone knows a drink recipe it would be her. She serves as my very own walking talking "Old Mr. Bostons". ***Warning*** This is a drink she says you cannot drink more than two of these as they will knock you on your bumm.

- In a shot glass pour the 1/2 oz 101 bourbon , then pouring over the back of a spoon not allowing the spoon to touch the bourbon, but getting it as close it as possible pour the 151 rum.
- Light the rum and serve.
- Blow out the flame and shoot this, but like I said above be careful cuz these are lethal.

UPTOWN "GORILLA" CHEESE SANDWICHES
To this day we still refer to grilled cheese sandwiches as "gorilla" cheese - a name our son, Jesse, gave his favourite restaurant order when he was a toddler! Half the fun, of course, was seeing the waitress' reaction! This "uptown" version has become a regular for us on Sunday nights.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Spray an oven proof dish with vegetable spray.
- Toast the bread lightly and butter one side.
- Place butter side up in prepared casserole.
- Top each slice of bread with cheese slice then tomato. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the tablespoon of melted butter to the egg yolks together with the mustard and salt and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
- Beat the egg whites with the cream of tartar until stiff.
- Fold in the yolk mixture and pour over the bread slices.
- Bake until golden brown and set - about 15 minutes.

- Add a few ice cubes to a highball glass. Pour in liqueurs and drop in a couple maraschino cherries (I add a little of the cherry juice, too). Pour the cream down the sides of the glass and stir lightly before serving.
- You can also hold the cherries out, top with whipped cream and cherries.
