HALLOWEEN CANDY COOKIE BARS RECIPE BY TASTY

Here's what you need: white sugar, brown sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, salt, flour, assorted candy

Halloween Candy Cookie Bars Recipe by Tasty image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF (175ºC).
  • Chop your Halloween candy into bite-size pieces.
  • In a large bowl, mix sugars and melted butter, whisk until mix turns lighter (around 8 minutes).
  • Mix in eggs and vanilla, then salt and flour until completely blended.
  • Mix in the candy.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes.
  • Allow to cool.
  • Cut into squares.
  • Enjoy!

This bar recipe is made from leftover Halloween candy bars. I originally came across this recipe back in 2003 at the Mr. Food recipe website. I did however, add a bit more of the chopped candy bars to the recipe.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Coat a 13x9-inch baking pan with a non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
  • Beat in the eggs, then gradually blend in the flour mixture.
  • Stir in 1-1/4 cups of chopped candy.
  • Spread the batter into the baking pan, and sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup chopped candy.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes. I baked mine for exactly 25 minutes.
  • *Note: For this recipe, I used fun-size candy bars, Milky Way, Three Musketeers, Butter Fingers, Kit Kat, 100 Grand, plus Fun-size plain M&M's.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray. In large bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, salt and 1 cup butter with spoon. Stir in pecans. Remove 1 cup; set aside for topping. Press remaining mixture into pan. In 2-quart saucepan, cook condensed milk, chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat, stirring constantly, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Spread chocolate mixture over crust. Sprinkle with candies and reserved oat mixture; press into chocolate mixture. Bake 23 to 25 minutes or until set.. Cool completely, about 2 1/2 hours. Cut into 8 rows by 4 rows.

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a 13" x 9" x 2" pan.
  • Sprinkle ingredients in layers in order given.
  • Pour sweetened condensed milk over all.
  • Back at 350F for about 30 minutes.
  • Cool then cut into bars.

1 cup flaked coconut
1 (6 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
