HAWAIIAN CHEESE BALL

This is the perfect appetizer! It so simple to make and alot of folks keep these ingredients on hand.

HAWAIIAN CHEESE BALL image

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all of the ingredients except pecans and parsley flakes. Form into a ball. On wax paper, roll the cheese ball over the mixed pecans and parsley flakes to make a coating of pecans and parsley flakes on the outside of the ball. Chill and serve with your favorite party crackers. If refrigerated, it will stay fresh up to 3 to 4 days.

16 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
1/2 c green pepper, chopped fine
1/3 c red onion, chopped
15 oz crushed pineapple, drained well
1 1/2 tsp horseradish (more if you want it spicy)
1/2 c parsley flakes
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
2 c pecans, toasted & chopped fine

HAWAIIAN CHEESE BALL

This is a sweet cheese ball -- a great variation of the traditional cheese balls. Cooking time is chilling time.

  • Shape into ball and roll in pecans.
  • Chill.
  • Serve with crackers.

Hawaiian Cream Cheese Balls With Ginger and Coconut image

Steps:

  • In a bowl mix cream cheese ginger root, soy sauce and superfine sugar until well blended and smooth. Cover and chill 2 hours or until firm. Form the cheese mixture into 1/2 inch balls and roll the balls in freshly grated coconut. Serve on cocktail picks. Makes about 12.
