HAWAIIAN OATMEAL COOKIES
Steps:
- Preheat your oven to 375 defrees F. Cream together the butter and sugar. Blend in the eggs, vanilla and salt. In a seperate bowl stir together the baking soda, baking powder and flour. Mix into the wet ingredients until blended. Add the oats and coconut just until combined. Place walnut sized balls onto an ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart, and flatten slightly with a fork dipped in water. Bake in 375 degree oven for about 11-13 minutes (until the cookies are light golden brown around the edges). Enjoy!

Sift together the dry ingredients then stir in the oats. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix. Add any additional ingredients you've chosen. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto the cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, cream together the shortening, white sugar, brown sugar and honey until light and fluffy. Stir in the milk and vanilla. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt, stir into the creamed mixture. Then stir in the coconut, oats, dates and pecans.
- Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto unprepared cookie sheets. Bake for 11 to 12 minutes for soft cookies, 13 to 14 minutes for crispy cookies. Remove cookies from baking sheets to cool on wire racks.
