JAPANESE STYLE DRESSINGS-2 CHOICES

You always get a salad and a bowl of soup with your food and rice when you order in Japan, it's called a dinner set. I love the dressings! So easy to make too! I used to make the Ginger dressing for my Okinawan friends all the time and they loved it!

Steps:

  • To make either dressing put ingredients in a bowl, not ingredients for both dressings though! Just one dressing at a time.
  • Whisk all ingredients in a bowl till combined.
  • Pour over salad or set on side for people to pour themelves!

  • Pulse ginger, onion, and celery in a food processor until thoroughly combined. Scrape down sides of food processor with a spatula. Add soy sauce, lime juice, sugar, ketchup, and pepper; process until combined, 10 to 20 seconds. Stream oil in a thin stream into the mixture with the processor running; process until well blended.
