Steps:
- combine sugar ,water, corn syrup,salt and peanuts it says1/2 sack here
- until it spins a long thread 290 on candy themomoter cook until butterscotch brown.
- remove from heat
- add butter size of walnut 2 rounded teaspoons of soda vanilla and coconut stir thoughly.
- spoon out on WELL buttered cookie sheet or sil pat
- uses well buutered forks to strech out and gently pull apart.

Steps:
- proof yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water (it says yeast cake soaked i hour ).
- pour boiling water over lard
- add sugar.
- and salt.
- cool
- add beaten eggs
- and yeast
- add enough flour to make stiff dough
- let dough rise until double
- shape into buns
- let rise again
- bake in 425 degree oven 15 minutes (im guessing on time and temp since its not on recipe ).

- pit cherries
- chop
- cook til soft add strawberries and lemon juice and sugar
- mix well.
- bring to a full boil
- boil hard 1 minute stirring constantly
- remove from heat add sure jell stir
- skim foam
- this cools it slightly and keeps fruit from floating
- this is what recipe says ypu may need to cook morre
- ladle into glasses and pour melted paraffin over them makes about 7 glasses
- i would put in 1/2 pint jars and waterbath these according to ball instructions.

Memories of dime store brittle with ribbons of coconut inspired me to try my own. The vanilla scent of Meyers Rum brought that addition. Basic peanut brittle with a great scent! These directions are for a 1650 watt microwave! Adjust time to get a nice brown brittle.

- In a microwave safe, 1 1/2 to 2 quart dish,(preferably with a handle) mix peanuts, sugar, corn syrup and salt.
- Microwave 4 Minutes at power 8. Stir.
- Microwave 4 minutes at power 8.
- Stir in butter and coconut rum mixture.
- Microwave 1 minute at high.
- Quickly stir in baking soda and pour onto silpat or other non-stick surface.

- Spread coconut evenly on a buttered baking sheet.
- In medium microwave safe bowl, combine sugar and corn syrup.
- Microwave on high 3 minutes.
- Stir in nuts and microwave 4 minutes more.
- Stir in butter and vanilla and return to microwave for 1 minute.
- Stir in soda until light and slightly foamy.
- Pour over coconut in pan.
- Let cool until firm and break into pieces.
