Milk Chocolate Mousse image

Steps:

  • Melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler. Set aside to cool a little.
  • Whip the cream with an electric mixer on high for about a minute. Turn the mixer to low while adding the sugar, then turn back to high and whip to stiff peaks.
  • Whisk the egg yolks in a pitcher and add the vanilla.
  • Next, temper the eggs by adding a little of the melted chocolate. Then pour the eggs back into the bowl of melted chocolate and stir to combine. Fold in three-quarters of the whipped cream (refrigerate the remaining whipped cream for serving). Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Serve the mousse with dollops of whipped cream and garnish with grated chocolate and gummy worms.

8 ounces milk chocolate, plus more for grating
4 tablespoons butter, softened
2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup sugar
4 large egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • In a large bowl, combine milk, pudding mix and water. Beat until well mixed. Chill for 5 minutes. , Fold in whipped cream. Spoon into individual serving dishes. Garnish with additional whipped cream.

Steps:

  • Sprinkle gelatine over milk in medium saucepan; let stand 1 min. Add malted milk powder; stir. Cook on low heat 3 min. or until gelatine and milk powder are completely dissolved, stirring constantly. Add chopped milk chocolate; cook 3 min. or until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.
  • Pour through fine-mesh strainer into bowl; place bowl in larger bowl filled with ice water. Stir chocolate mixture 3 min. or until slightly thickened. Pour into large bowl. Gently stir in 1 cup COOL WHIP; spoon into 6 dessert glasses.
  • Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm.
  • Top with remaining COOL WHIP and chopped malted milk balls before serving.

Steps:

  • put the two cup malted milk balls in a resealable plastic bag; seal bag. Using a rolling pin, finely crush malted milk balls; set aside.
  • In a small pan mix 1/4 cup of the cream, the milk chocolate, and bittersweet chocolate. Cook and stir over low heat until chocolate is melted. Stir in malted milk powder, liqueur, and vanilla. Cool to room temperature.
  • In large bowl beat 1 3/4 cups of the cream with electric mixer on medium to high speed until stiff peaks form. Tips stand straight. Stir about 1/2 cup of the whipped cream into chocolate mixture to lighten. Gently fold chocolate mixture into remaining whipped cream. Gently fold in crushed malted milk balls. Transfer to 8 to 10 small dessert dishes or glasses or a 1 1/2 to 2 quart serving bowl. Cover and chill for 1 to 24 hours.
  • Before serving, in medium bowl mix remaining 1 cup cream, sugar, and cocoa powder. Beat on medium speed until soft peaks form, tips curl. Spoon on top of mousse. If desired, garnish with additional chopped milk balls. Makes 8 to 10 servings

Easy Chocolate Mousse, Three Ways image

Steps:

  • 1. Place chocolate in a large microwaveable bowl. Melt in microwave for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Stir chocolate until smooth.
  • 2. Once chocolate cools, add 1 cup of Cool Whip to the chocolate, stirring quickly. Continue folding in the rest of the Cool Whip in 2 batches, until there are no visible streaks.
  • 3.Divide mousse into thirds.
  • Basic Chocolate Mousse:
  • Place one-third of the mousse into a medium-size zip-locking plastic bag, cut off one corner, and pipe mousse onto 6 spoons, about 1 tablespoon per spoon. Top with your favorite toping, such as toasted coconut, slivered nuts, or crushed candy.
  • For Malted Chocolate Mousse:
  • Fold malted milk powder into one-third of the mousse. Place mixture in a medium-size zip-locking plastic bag. Pipe onto 6 spoons and top with crushed whoppers.
