Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with tin foil.
  • Stir together the maple syrup and brown sugar in a small bowl. Arrange the bacon in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a slight gap between each slice. With a pastry brush, coat the bacon with the maple syrup mixture.
  • Bake until the bacon is crispy and the sugar is caramelized, about 25 minutes. Cool slightly, then carefully loosen the bacon from the foil while still warm. Serve with Tiffani's Spicy Bloody Mary.

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Place a baking rack on a sheet pan and arrange the bacon in 1 layer on the baking rack. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the bacon begins to brown. Remove the pan carefully from the oven; there will be hot grease in the pan! Brush the bacon slices with maple syrup and bake for another 3 to 5 minutes, until the bacon is a warm golden brown. Transfer the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels and serve warm.

Bacon-Wrapped Scallops With Maple Syrup image

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F
  • Season the scallops lightly with salt and pepper. Cut the bacon in half crosswise. Wrap each scallop in a piece of bacon, string 5 of them onto each skewer and drizzle with half the maple syrup.
  • Place the scallops on a baking tray, and cook in the oven for 8-10 minutes, turning once, until the scallops are opaque and the bacon is cooked.
  • Drizzle with remaining syrup and freshly ground black pepper and serve.

Steps:

  • 1. Sauté bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels, chop into bits and set aside.
  • 2. Pour off all but about 2 tablespoons of grease. Add butter to skillet. Add white parts only of the green onions (set the green part aside for garnish). Sauté over medium heat 2-3 minutes until softened.
  • 3. Add drained scallops to skillet and heat through, about 4-5 minutes. Remove scallops from pan into a bowl.
  • 4. Add cream to scallop broth in pan and simmer about 10 minutes to reduce, stirring frequently. Add mustard, maple syrup, Rosemary and the juice from the bottom of the bowl of scallops. Simmer another 3-4 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • 5. Add scallops into broth. Garnish with green onions and chopped bacon. Serve immediately.

2 1/2 Tbsp dijon mustard, stone ground

Grilled Maple Glazed Bacon Wrapped Scallops image

Steps:

  • Partially Cook Bacon for 3-5 minutes in a pan, on medium heat, putting a plate or weight on the bacon to flatten it as it cooks. Do not overcook, as it will complete the cooking process on the BBQ. Remove from pan and place the partially cooked bacon slices on a paper towel and pat with papertowels to remove any excess grease, then set aside.
  • Lightly Salt the Scallops, and then wrap them with the partially cooked bacon and secure them with toothpicks.
  • Mix Maple Syrup and Dijon Mustard together, and coat the bacon wrapped scallops with the mixture, and refrigerate for (1) hour if you have the extra time, if not you can grill them right away.
  • Lightly Oil the BBQ grill, and cook until lightly browned. Serve immediately.
