Matcha Green Tea Vanilla Cookies Recipes

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease baking sheets or line with parchment paper.
• Sift flour, matcha, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl. Beat brown sugar, butter, and white sugar together in a large bowl using an electric mixer until blended; beat in vanilla extract, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy.
• Mix flour mixture into creamed butter mixture until dough is just blended; fold in chocolate chips using a wooden spoon. Drop cookie dough, 1 heaping tablespoon per cookie, onto the prepared baking sheet 2 to 3 inches apart.
• Bake in the preheated oven until edges are lightly browned, 8 to 10 minutes. Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 2 to 3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Steps:

• In a medium bowl,combine flour, Matcha powder, baking powder, and salt, set aside.
• In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar, beat in the egg yolks.
• Beat in the vanilla extract.
• Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
• Cover and chill for one hour.
• Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets, or line with parchment paper.
• On a floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch.
• Using a 2-inch cookie cutter, cut out cookies and place 1 inch apart onto the prepared baking sheets.
• Bake for 10-12 minutes, until lightly colored.
• Sprinkle granulated sugar over the hot cookies and transfer to wire racks to cool.

Steps:

• Boil the kettle then pour 100ml of the water into a measuring jug. Pour half the hot water into a small bowl, to warm it, then add the matcha powder and vanilla seeds to the rest of the water in the jug.
• Whisk the mixture with a bamboo match whisk or mini electric whisk until it's smooth, lump-free and slightly bubbly. Discard the water in the warmed tea bowl, then pour in the prepared matcha tea.
