Steps:

• 1. No Drain Microwave: 1. Pour Macaroni into 1 1/2 or 2 quart microwavable bowl. Add 1 3/4 cups hot water. 2. Microwave, uncovered, on high 8 to 10 minutes or until water is absorbed, stirring every 3 minutes. 3. Add 1/4 cup margarine, 1/4 cup milk and Cheese Sauce Mix; mix well. Makes about 3 cups.

• In a large pot with boiling salted water cook the elbow macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside.
• In a 2-quart microwave-safe covered casserole dish, cook the onions and butter or margarine on high for 3 to 4 minutes.

If there are still some pieces of unmelted cheese, microwave again, covered, in 30-second increments. (The sauce will continue to thicken as it sits.) If desired, transfer to a decorative dish for serving.
