MICROWAVE LUNCHBAG POPCORN..A HEALTHY WAY TO POP!

I have used this recipe... many times. Hurrah! no artificial flavors...etc. Use plain popcorn...saves on the pocketbook! I generally use the yellow kind. When not using it put in a mason jar, cover tightly and keep in the refrigerator. Add butter and salt..after you put it in the bowl. I have even made caramel corn this way. I make this for when I make my recipe for : "POPCORN STUFFED TURKEY"

Steps:

  • Open a brown lunch size paper bag. Add corn kernels, and a drizzle of oil. Fold the top of the bag over two times, CAUTION: Please do not use staples to close the bag ! you would not want to find a staple, by accident in your popcorn bowl!! Put in your microwave.and turn on. All micro waves are different, wattage's etc. so listen for the popping to stop.. Just a couple minutes.... Mine takes 3 minutes. Listen for the popping to stop.
  • Once it is in a bowl, add melted butter, and salt ....

1 - small brown paper bag
- a small drizzle of oil
1/2 cup(s) yellow popcorn, ( not gourmet kind)

Steps:

  • In a cup or small bowl, mix together the unpopped popcorn and oil. Pour the coated corn into a brown paper lunch sack, and sprinkle in the salt. Fold the top of the bag over twice to seal in the ingredients.
  • Cook in the microwave at full power for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes, or until you hear pauses of about 2 seconds between pops. Carefully open the bag to avoid steam, and pour into a serving bowl.
