4-BEAN BAKED BEANS
Four different kinds of beans baked with molasses. I have substituted different kinds of beans and enjoyed all of the results. Use whatever kind of beans you like! I have also used Canadian bacon instead of regular bacon.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Place kidney beans, butter beans, lima beans, and pork and beans in a 2-quart casserole dish.
- Heat a saucepan over medium heat; cook and stir bacon, onion, and garlic until bacon is browned, about 10 minutes. Pour off excess fat.
- Whisk brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, molasses, and mustard into bacon mixture; simmer until cooked through, about 20 minutes. Pour sauce over beans in the casserole dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven until bubbling, 1 hour 15 minutes.

MULTI BEAN BAKED BEANS IN SLOW COOKER
This makes a ton of baked beans great for picnics and parties. Delicious smoky flavor that's sweet and spicy.

Steps:
- Place the beans in a slow cooker. Cook the diced bacon until crisp and add them to the slow cooker. Cook the onion, jalapeno's and garlic in the bacon grease and pour into the slow cooker.
- Mix the remaining ingredients together and pour over the beans in the slow cooker. Stir well and cook on low for 8 hours. Taste and adjust seasonings.
SLOW COOKER BAKED BEANS
These traditional baked beans have a nice blend of flavors and a thick pleasant sauce. They were a hit at our son's wedding.

- Sort beans and rinse with cold water. Place beans in a Dutch oven or soup kettle; add water to cover by 2 in. Bring to a boil; boil for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat; cover and let stand for 1 to 4 hours or until beans are softened., Drain and rinse beans, discarding liquid. Return to Dutch oven; add 4 qts. water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour or until the beans are almost tender. Drain and reserve liquid. Combine beans with the remaining ingredients., Transfer to two ungreased 2-1/2-qt. baking dishes or bean pots. Add 1-1/2 cups reserved cooking liquid to each casserole; stir to combine., Cover and bake at 325° for 3 to 3-1/2 hours or until beans are as thick as desired, stirring occasionally. Add more of the reserved cooking liquid if needed.

Freeze option: Freeze cooled beans in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Heat through in a saucepan, stirring occasionally; add water if necessary.

THREE-BEAN BAKED BEANS (OVEN OR CROCK POT)
This is my summer time dish for all BBQ's and I always double the recipe. If you enjoy baked beans you have to try this one. It's from a '98 TOH and whenever I make it someone always asks for the recipe. I have personally never made it in the oven since the crock pot does just fine and who wants to heat up the house in the summer? When using the crock pot I will take the lid off for the last hour or so (+/-) of cooking - this will thicken it up if you like your beans thick right at serving. Leftovers freeze very well.

- In a large skillet over med.
- heat, brown beef, bacon and onion; drain.
- Add beans.
- Combine remaining ingredients and stir into bean mixture.
- Pour into a greased 2 1/2 qt baking dish.
- Bake uncovered at 350° for 1 hour or until beans reach desired thickness.
- OR place in greased crock pot and heat on low for 4 hours or so.
