Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter the bottom of an 8 1/2 by 4 1/2 by 2 1/2-inch loaf pan. Line the bottom with parchment paper, then butter and flour the pan.
  • Combine the dates and orange liqueur in a small bowl and set aside for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and brown sugar together on medium speed for 1 minute. Scrape down the bowl. With the mixer on low, add the egg, vanilla, and orange zest. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. With the mixer still on low, add the flour mixture alternately with the orange juice to the creamed mixture, beating only until combined. By hand, stir in the dates with their liquid, and the pecans.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
  • Meanwhile, in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the cream cheese, sugar, and orange zest on medium speed until just combined.
  • Slice the bread and serve with the orange cream cheese on the side for spreading.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Beat cake mix, sour cream, orange zest and juice in large bowl with mixer until blended. (Batter will be thick.)
  • Spoon into 3 greased and floured mini loaf pans.
  • Bake 30 to 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool 10 min. Remove bread loaves from pans to wire rack; cool completely.
  • Beat cream cheese and spice in medium bowl with mixer until blended. Gradually add sugar, mixing well after each addition; spread onto tops of bread loaves.
  • Sprinkle with nuts.

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and both sugars together with an electric mixer. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then mix in the orange juice, vanilla, and orange zest. Add the flour, baking powder, salt, orange zest, and vanilla and mix together well. Generously butter and flour a 10 inch bundt pan and scoop the batter into it, smoothing the top with a spatula. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the sides shrink away from the pan and the center of the loaf springs back. Cool the pan on a rack for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a round platter.   • Stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and nuts.
  • In a large bowl, beat together butter or margarine and 1 cup sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in rind and 1/2 cup juice. Pour in flour mixture, and stir until moistened. Turn into a greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour, or until done. Remove loaf from oven, but not from pan.

Steps:

  • Place the orange zest into a saucepan and add water to cover; bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes. Strain the zest through a mesh strainer and return to the saucepan along with 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/4 cup of water. Return to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low; cook, stirring constantly, until the water has evaporated. Allow to cool until lukewarm.
  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl; set aside. Whisk the egg and 1 cup of sugar in a bowl. Stir in the butter, milk, and cooled orange zest until blended; stir in the flour mixture until just moistened then pour into the prepared loaf pan.

Steps:

  • Cream the butter with the sugar in a large bowl.
  • Beat the eggs and add to the creamed mixture.
  • Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together.
  • Mix the orange juice and milk.
