BAKED SWISS STEAK
This dish is one of my husband's favorites, so I make it often. Baking steak might seem strange at first, but the meat becomes very tender, and the vegetables add delicious flavor. -Dolores Wynne, Clearwater, Florida

I was really glad to find this recipe since it's a great way to use round steak and it picks up fabulous flavor from one of my favorite herbs - tarragon. I am a homemaker with three children and enjoy cooking tasty dinners like this one for my family. -Lorna Dickau, Vanderhoof, British Columbia

SWISS POT ROAST
My family loves the taste of this tender roast. I love the fact that it's so easy to prepare-it even makes its own gravy. The house smells wonderful when this hearty main dish is cooking, so I'm apt to hear the question, 'How long until dinner?'-Darlene Brenden, Salem, Oregon

AL'S BAKED SWISS STEAK
This is a variation on another recipe, which is great as is, but I couldn't make Swiss steak without green peppers or garlic. I also season the meat instead of the flour; it gets a more intense taste that way.
