FOURTH OF JULY PATRIOTIC PIE
My family and friends come to visit every 4th of July and have a cookout and I make a jello pie and it is so easy to make it. It is so good and tasty.

Steps:
- 1. Add 3/4 cup boiling water to blue gelatin mix; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add 1/2 cup ice cubes; stir until melted. Pour into crust; refrigerate 5 to 10 min. or until set but not firm. Meanwhile, repeat to dissolve red gelatin mix in separate bowl; stir in remaining ice cubes. Cool 5 min. or until slightly thickened. Spread cool whip over blue gelatin layer; cover with red gelatin. Refrigerate 2 hours or until set.

I love to bake for holidays and this is my 4th of July pie that I make every year. Great for get togethers! And it's easy because I use all prepared ingredients.

- 1. Prepare the lower pie crust and fill with the cherry pie filling and blueberry pie filling to resemble the flag. Use a spatula to keep the fillings separate.
- 2. Use a star cookie cutter for the stars and cut strips to make the flag. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with a little sugar
- 3. Bake according to the pie filling directions. So EASY and a fun pie to make!
PATRIOTIC PIE
This is a tasty,pretty, no-bake pie for berry lovers. Perfect for summer or anytime. I got the recipe from one of my students when we compiled a class cookbook. My family liked it - I hope yours does too!

Steps:
- In small saucepan, combine 1/3 c sugar, cornstarch, and gelatin. Stir in water.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils. Boil and stir 1 minute.
- Add all but 1/4 cup of the blueberries. cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour mixture into pie shell. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
- Beat cream cheese, milk, and 2 Tbsp sugar until smooth.Carefully spread over cooled blueberry layer.
- Arrange strawberries over cream cheese, leaving space in the center for reserved blueberries. Spoon glaze over strawberries.
- Fill center with blueberries. Cover, and refrigerate for several hours.

- Slice enough of the strawberries to measure 2 cups. Halve remaining strawberries; set aside. Combine sliced strawberries, granulated sugar and 3 tablespoons of the water in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low; cover. Simmer 3 minutes.
- Mix the remaining 2 tablespoons water and cornstarch until blended in small bowl. Add to strawberry mixture; mix well. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat; stir in strawberry halves. Cover and cool 30 minutes without stirring.
- Beat cream cheese, confectioners' sugar and milk in medium bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Spread onto bottom of pastry shell. Top with strawberry mixture; cover. Refrigerate at least 4 hours.
- Cut pie into 8 slices. Completely cover each slice with Reddi-wip and blueberries just before serving.
