PIZZA MAC 'N CHEESE FOR THE CROCK POT

This recipe idea from Mr Food...I have changed it so it's made the way my family likes it and it is a great recipe to serve for any outside party or BBQ too...my niece used this for her daughters birthday party...all the kids loved it.

Pizza Mac 'n Cheese for the crock pot image

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl combine all ingredients except the cheese; then stir in all but 2/3 cup of the cheese.
  • 2. Spoon the mixture into a well greased 6 to 8 quart crock pot; sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cover tightly and cook on low for about 4 1/2 hours, or until macaroni is done.
  • 3. Note: Sometimes I precook the pasta for 4 minutes in boiling water before using in this recipe...both ways work fine.

16 oz pkg. elbow macaroni, uncooked
2 jar(s) (14 oz. each) pizza sauce
2 can(s) cheddar cheese soup, undiluted
2 c chicken broth
2 pkg (8 oz. each) sliced turkey pepperoni, chopped
1 large green or red bell pepper, chopped
1 or 2 can(s) (2.25 oz. each) olives sliced,black or green
1 Tbsp dried italian seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder with parsley
16 oz bag italian blend shredded cheese, divided

Steps:

  • Set the cheese packet from dinner mix aside. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add macaroni; cook for 8-10 minutes or until tender., Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook the beef, onion and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain., Drain macaroni; stir in contents of cheese packet. Transfer to a greased round 2-1/2-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup cheddar cheese. Top with the beef mixture, pizza sauce, pepperoni and remaining cheeses., Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until heated through.

Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese image

Steps:

  • In a large 4-quart slow cooker sprayed with cooking spray, mix the macaroni, evaporated milk, milk, butter, salt, pepper, eggs and all but 1/2 cup of the grated cheese. Sprinkle the reserved cheese over the top of the mixture and then sprinkle with paprika. Cover and cook on low heat for 3 hours and 15 minutes. Turn off the slow cooker, stir the mixture and serve hot.

Cooking spray
8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked
One 12-ounce can evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups whole milk
1/4 cup (1/2 stick ) of butter, melted
1 teaspoon salt
Dash of pepper
2 large eggs, beaten
Two 10-ounce bricks sharp Cheddar cheese, grated (about 5 cups)
Dash of paprika

Mac-N-Cheese Pizza image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Spray a 10x15-inch baking sheet with cooking spray. Unroll pizza crust and place on the prepared baking pan.
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, 8 minutes. Drain.
  • Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat; cook and stir flour with butter until it has a slightly toasted fragrance, about 2 minutes. Whisk in milk and simmer until thickened, whisking constantly, 2 more minutes. Stir in processed cheese cubes. Let the cheese cubes melt, stirring often, to make a smooth cheese sauce.
  • Spread about 3/4 cup of cheese sauce onto the pizza crust. Stir cooked macaroni into remaining cheese sauce in the saucepan and spoon the macaroni and cheese onto the crust in an even layer. Sprinkle top of pizza with mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the crust is lightly browned and the mozzarella cheese is golden brown, about 15 minutes.
