Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Heat 3 inches of canola oil in a heavy pot to 375 degrees F.
  • Add half the chicken wing parts to the oil and fry them until they're golden brown and fully cooked, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Repeat with the other half of the wing parts. In a saucepan, heat the cayenne sauce and butter over medium-low heat. Add the Worcestershire and hot sauce. Let it bubble up, and then turn off the heat. Place the wings in an ovenproof dish and pour the hot sauce over the top. Toss to coat, and then bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
  • Serve with blue cheese dip, celery sticks... and your favorite cold, fizzy beverage.

Canola oil, for frying
24 chicken wing parts (12 wings separated into 2 pieces)
One 12-ounce bottle cayenne hot pepper sauce, such as Frank's
1 stick butter
Several dashes Worcestershire sauce
Several dashes hot sauce, such as Tabasco
Blue cheese dip, for serving
Celery sticks, for serving

RESTAURANT STYLE HOT WINGS

Why pay high prices at those restaurants when you can make these at home for so much less? I hope you enjoy them...and you can serve them in a bikini top if you like :o). ** I have included a healthier version at the bottom also which will save 400-600+ calories(from fat)**. My family likes these as a meal with white or yellow...

Steps:

  • 1. In a zip lock bag(gallon size) combine paprika, cayenne, salt and flour then add wings and shake well to coat evenly. Refrigerate for about one to one and a half hours.
  • 2. Heat oil to 375(enough to cover wings). Add wings and cook for 10-15 minutes until thoroughly cooked and are browning nicely. While the wings are cooking combine the butter, hot sauce, pepper and garlic powder(or salt) and heat in a sauce pan while stirring until butter is melted and it is mixed well. I have used a pyrex measuring cup in the microwave to do this step just as successfully.
  • 3. Place cooked wings in large bowl and pour the sauce over them and toss well to coat. Place on a serving dish and enjoy with some blue cheese dressing(or ranch) and celery sticks.
  • 4. **If you want to make them healthier you can cook them in the oven on a non stick pan ...just spray the pan and the wings with PAM first and cook at 375 for about 50 minutes and they come out just as good...AND if you want them even healthier just use the prepared hot wing sauce with the butter flavor in it.**

10 chicken wings, split and discard wing tip.
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c flour
oil for frying
1/4 c butter
1/4 c hot sauce
dash(es) black or white pepper
dash(es) garlic powder or garlic salt

RESTAURANT-STYLE BUFFALO CHICKEN WINGS

If you are a lover spicy food and buffalo wings then you might want to give this recipe a try, you may of coarse double or triple this recipe but because of the spices and cayenne you will need to make each recipe in a separate bowl (10 wings in each bowl) the amount of cayenne may be adjusted to suit heat level, plan ahead the coated wings *must* be refrigerated 2 hours before frying, this is important so do not skip ;-) Serve the wings with a blue cheese dip see recipe#181552 or use your own favorite recipe

Steps:

  • For the sauce; in a small saucepan combine the butter, hot sauce, black pepper, salt and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder; bring to a simmer over medium-low heat.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes stirring occasionally; remove from heat and set aside to be coated with the wings later.
  • For the wings; in a bowl combine flour, paprika, cayenne (you may adjust cayenne to suit heat level) 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, onion powder and seasoned salt.
  • Place the wings in a shallow dish and sprinkle the flour mixture over; mix using hands to coat evenly and completely (I use disposable rubber gloves for this!).
  • Cover the dish and refrigerate for 2 hours (THIS IS IMPORTANT, the wings must be refrigerated for that amount of time!).
  • Heat oil in a deep-fryer to 375 degrees F (the oil should be just enough to cover the wings completely, about 1-1/2-inches or more).
  • Fry the flour-coated wings in hot oil for about 10-15 minutes or until parts of the wings begin to turn brown.
  • Remove from heat then place wings in a serving bowl; add in prepared hot sauce mixture and turn the wings to coat with the sauce.
  • You may serve the wings as is or place on a baking sheet and bake in a 250 degree oven for 10 minutes.
  • Serve with a blue cheese dip.

  • Combine chicken wings, black pepper, white pepper, garlic powder, salt, sugar, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil and egg in a large mixing bowl. Mix everything until the wings are well-coated. Next, add the cornstarch and all purpose flour and mix again until the wings are coated.
  • Let the wings marinate for 2 hours at room temperature or in the refrigerator overnight for best results. (If you refrigerate the wings, be sure to let them come to room temperature again before cooking).
  • After marinating, if it looks like there is liquid in the bowl, be sure to mix them thoroughly again. The wings should be well coated with a thin batter-like coating. If it still looks too watery, add a bit more cornstarch and flour.
