ROAST BEEF HORSERADISH SPIRALS

Very attractive looking appy! and good too. Had some ladies over for a "crafty evening", making little Christmas thingies, the spirals went over big, and the ladies took the recipe, from "Women's world".

Roast Beef Horseradish Spirals image

Steps:

  • Combine first 6 ingredients.
  • Place the two tortillas on work surface, spread half of cheese over each, top each with half of the roast beef slices, leaving a 1/2 inch border around edges.
  • Roll up, wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
  • Refrigerate until firm, 30 minutes or up to 1 day ahead.
  • cut diagonally into 1/2 inch slices and serve.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature
2 green onions, chopped about 1/2 cup
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish, drained
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
8 ounces deli roast beef, sliced
2 10-inch flour tortillas, cheese flavoured are nice

Cheesy Roast Beef Pinwheels image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. Unroll crescent dough and separate into 2 rectangles; press perforations to seal. , Spread rectangles with mustard. Top with cheese and roast beef, overlapping if needed, and, if desired, red pepper. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a short side; pinch seam to seal. Cut each roll crosswise into 4 slices; place on parchment-lined baking sheets, cut side down. Bake until pinwheels are golden brown and cheese is melted, 15-18 minutes. Serve warm., Freeze option: Cover and freeze cooled pinwheels on parchment-lined baking sheets until firm. Transfer to freezer containers; return to freezer. To use, bake at 375° until heated through.

  • 3. Roll up; wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
  • 4. Refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes or up to one day ahead.
  • 5. When ready to serve, unwrap and cut each filled tortilla diagonally into 1/2 inch slices. Set out on pretty platter and serve!

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, cook the beef, onions and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce and mushrooms; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes., Place 1/2 cup of meat sauce in a greased shallow 2-1/2-qt. baking dish. Drain pasta; place half over sauce. Top with half of the remaining meat sauce; spread with sour cream. Top with process cheese and remaining pasta and meat sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. , Cover and bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes. Uncover; bake 5-10 minutes longer or until bubbly. Freeze option: Freeze individual portions of cooled pasta mixture in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Heat through in a saucepan, stirring occasionally and adding a little spaghetti sauce if necessary.
