SLAM IT DOWN AND SMACK YER GOB SAUCE

Created by Team Gobsmackers for Zaar World Tour III. This zippy little treat earned it's name from the tequila, lime and salt included in the recipe. It's a shot in a sauce! Great for burgers, as a veggie dip, as dressing for chicken salad, or you could thin it with milk and use it as salad dressing. You can also substitute light mayo and sour cream. Lots of great options, so Slam It Down and Smack Yer Gob! Cooking time includes chilllll time. The number of servings will depend on what you use the sauce for. Yields 2 1/2 Cups of sauce.

Slam It Down and Smack Yer Gob Sauce image

Steps:

  • Puree first 7 ingredients in food processor or blender. Try to get the sauce as smooth as you can.
  • Fold the mixture into the sour cream and mayonaise.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours up to 24.

1 lime, juice of
1 lime, zest of
1 1/2 ounces tequila
1/2 large orange bell peppers or 1/2 large red bell pepper
1 teaspoon dried cilantro (fresh makes the sauce an odd color)
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1 -2 chipotle pepper, roasted and canned in sauce
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream

HOT SWEET DRAGON DRINK

I am currently on a Zaar World Tour Team called "The Fearless Red Dragons" and we as a team had to create a drink as part of the Great Britain regional challenges. This is a drink for our team to submit. Hot from the coffee, Bailey's for the region and sweet from the Schnapps and chocolate liqueur. Great for a cold night or if it is hot, make some coffee ice cubes and chill the coffee after brewing and then follow as written.

Steps:

  • Brew your favorite coffee. Pour 6 ounces of coffee into a cup and then add the next 3 ingredients. Top with whipped topping and a cherry and enjoy!

Steps:

  • Place couscous in large bowl. Bring 2 2/3 cups water, 1/2 cup sugar and oil to boil in heavy large saucepan, stirring to dissolve sugar. Pour mixture over couscous and stir until well blended. Cover and let stand 10 minutes. Fluff with fork to separate grains. Mix nuts and dates into couscous.
  • Transfer couscous to 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Cool. Cover with foil. (Can be prepared 4 hours ahead. Let stand at room temperature.)
  • Preheat oven to 350°F Bake couscous until heated through, about 20 minutes. Spoon into bowls.
  • Serve, passing hot milk and additional sugar separately.

These were created by the Exotic Epicureans for Zaar World Tour 03. A team of 9, we each picked one ingredient from 1 region of the US our the Southwest. Making an all American Burger using these ingredients. Kumquat the Cat's friend-lime that brings freshness, JanetC-KY-pepper jack cheese or Queso blanco a creaminess and richness, Alskann-Texas sweet onion made smoky, lucid501-beef just ask any Texan, Anme-corn for sweetness and lightens the burgers, free-free-avocado a rich creaminess, acerast-refried beans for health and to help hold the burger to the chips, Midwest Maven-tortilla chips and myself-chipotle peppers in adobo sauce for heat and smokiness. We stepped out of the box and went for these cute, spicy, smoky, sweet, mini-mini burgers that we placed on tortilla chips adhered with just a tad of refried beans topped with a tad of sour cream, tomato and avocado salsa and chipotle Caramelized onions. Oh as for the burgers they are filled with cheese, corn, chipolte peppers and cumin both give a great smokiness creating this Finger Licking Treats. You can use TVP (Texturized Vegetable Protein (TVP), also known as Textured Soy Protein (TSP) is a meat substitute made from defatted soy flour, a by-product of making soybean oil. Tex-Mex Burgers Texotic-Mexotic Burgers image

Steps:

  • Caramelized Adobo Onions:.
  • Heat the oil over medium high heat.
  • Add onions and reduce the heat to medium-low.
  • Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and caramelized, about 20 minutes.
  • Add the salt and pepper to taste, sugar and adobo sauce stir well to combine.
  • Meanwhile make Tomato and Avocado Salsa:.
  • Add all ingredients from the salsa using 1/2 the cilantro and parsley and added the 1/8 cup finely mined onion. Chill till ready to serve.
  • TEXotic-MEXotic BURGERS:.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Mix all burger ingredients together including the remaining cilantro and parsley. Make burgers using 1 tablespoon full of meat mixture.
  • Place on a cookie sheet pan and bake for 5-10 minutes. Don`t overcook.
  • Meanwhile place chips on serving platter topping with just a tad of refried beans (used just to hold the mini burgers on).
  • Remove burgers from oven and place on beans be sure to get the cheese that oozed out (go ahead sneak some for yourself ;) ), topping with a tad of sour cream, Caramelized Adobo Onions, and salsa.
  • Enjoy these finger licking good burgers!
  • Alternate: Yes you can make regular sized burgers just bake a bit longer till desired doneness.
