STRAWBERRY FLUFF

This recipe from my sister-in-law was a big hit at our parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Guests always seem to enjoy the fluffy texture and the tangy flavor from the sliced berries. -Cindy Borg Newfolden, Minnesota

Strawberry Fluff image

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine gelatin and glaze; set aside. In two large bowls, whisk buttermilk and pudding mixes for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft set. , Stir in glaze mixture; fold in whipped topping and strawberries. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Garnish with additional strawberries if desired.

1 package (3 ounces) strawberry gelatin
2 cartons (13-1/2 ounces each) strawberry glaze
2 quarts cold buttermilk
4 packages (5.1 ounces each) instant vanilla pudding mix
4 cartons (16 ounces each) frozen whipped topping, thawed
4 quarts fresh strawberries, sliced
Additional fresh strawberries, optional

As a kid, we always asked for more of the "Pink Stuff." Great texture - Great refreshing taste on a warm spring day - Great for the kids!

Steps:

  • Mix all together then chill.

8 ounce(s) whipped topping (store brand or cool whip)
1 small container of cottage cheese (sm. curd)
1 box(es) gelatin (jello, royal, etc...)
1 cup(s) chopped or sliced strawberries
1 small can of pineapple tidbits (drained) optional
- walnuts, optional

Our family always make this for Easter (and a few other special occasions! ;)) Hope you all love it as much as we do! This is very easily made more diabetic friendly by using sugar free gelatin.

Pink Fluff image

Steps:

  • 1. 1. Pinch the cake into small-ish pieces and set aside.
  • 2. 2. Mix the strawberry gelatin as directed but substituting the frozen strawberries for the ice.
  • 3. 3. After Gelatin/strawberry mix has cooled, but not set, gently mix (or fold)with the whole container of whipped topping.
  • 4. 4. Now add strawberry/whipped topping mix to the cake pieces. Do this gently so as not to break the cake up more.
  • 5. 5. Chill in fridge for about 30 minutes or until set. And ENJOY!! Mixture can be put into an angel food cake pan or bundt pan before chilling. Then decorated with extra strawberry slices for entertaining!

1 large cool angel food cake (homemade or store purchased)
1 large box of strawberry flavored gelatin.
1 16 oz package of strawberries frozen in their own juice.
1 large container of whipped topping.

PINK FLUFF

My mother has been making this form of ambrosia salad for years. To make blue fluff, substitute Blue Raspberry or Berry Blue Jell-O for the raspberry gelatin.

  • In a large bowl, stir together the cottage cheese, whipped topping, pineapple and cherry pie filling. Pour gelatin over the mixture and blend well. Divide into serving bowls and chill several hours, or overnight.
