SUTTON PLACE HOUSE SALAD DRESSING
I love this salad dressing, I got the recipe from a friend who has been making it for years. It is a bit sweet, a little nippy and just darn good!

Number Of Ingredients 8
Steps:
- In a bowl, blend mustard, egg, garlic and honey together.
- Add vinegar, and slowly add oil a little at a time while blending, this will make the dressing thicken.
- When ingredients are blended well, season with salt and pepper.
- Pour into jar, cover and store in refrigerator.

Steps:
- In a bowl mix all ingredients well to combine (or use a blender or processor to mix).
- Adjust the salt, black pepper and vinegar to taste.
- Let sit for a couple of hours to blend flavors.
- Store tightly covered at room temperature (or refrigerate if using fresh garlic).

ENGLISH ROOM SALAD DRESSING
Years ago, there was restaurant called the English Room on Newbury Street in Boston. They would serve a big bowl of salad at every table with this wonderful dressing. I found this recipe a long time ago in one of the Boston newspapers.

Steps:
- Mix together sugar, dry mustard, paprika, celery seed, and salt.
- Add onion and grated orange peel.
- Blend in honey.
- Combine lemon juice, orange juice and red wine vinegar in seperate bowl; blend well; add to mixture.
- Add salad oil in a slow stream, beating constantly with a hand mixer or whisk.
