BERRY WAFFLES
Steps:
- Preheat waffle iron and read manufacturer's instructions. Melt butter in microwave. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and sugar. In another bowl, beat together yogurt, milk and egg. Whisk liquid mixture into dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in frozen berries. Stir in melted butter. Brush hot waffle iron with butter or spray. Spoon about 1/2 cup of batter onto iron, smooth out with back of spoon and close to cook. This first waffle will be the tester. Cook waffle until golden brown. Remove to plate and keep warm. Serve with butter, maple syrup or blueberry syrup.
WAFFLED BROWNIE SUNDAE
Cooking the batter on a waffle iron cuts your brownie-baking time in half, and eliminates cooling time altogether. Pile ice cream and toppings onto these cakey brownies hot off the press for an instant sundae.

- Preheat a waffle iron to medium-high. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F (to keep cooked waffles warm). Sift together the flour, cocoa powder and 1/8 teaspoon salt in a small bowl; set aside.
- Combine half the chocolate and the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until melted and smooth, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool slightly. Stir in the sugar and eggs. Add the flour mixture and remaining chocolate and stir until just combined.
- Lightly brush the top and bottom of the waffle iron with butter. Fill the waffle iron about three-quarters of the way full (some waffle iron should still be showing). Close the lid gently and cook until the waffles are cooked through and slightly crispy around the edges, 4 to 6 minutes. Keep the cooked waffles warm in a 200 degrees F oven or covered with foil on a plate while you make the remaining waffles.
- Top each waffle with ice cream, whipped cream, caramel sauce, sprinkles and a cherry, if desired.
CHOCO-BERRY WAFFLE SUNDAE SURPRISE
Steps:
- Put frozen strawberries in a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave until thawed, about 25 seconds. Do not drain excess liquid. Set aside.
- Pour 1 1/2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup into the waffle bowl, tilting the bowl from side to side so the syrup coats as much of the inside as possible (sides too!). Freeze for 30 minutes, or until syrup has solidified.
- To the bowl of strawberries, add preserves and mash with a fork, until you have a chunky strawberry sauce.
- Remove waffle bowl from the freezer and place in a dish. Scoop ice cream into the waffle bowl. Top with strawberry sauce and 1/2 tablespoon of chocolate syrup, and then finish it all off with raspberries and whipped topping. Enjoy!

CHOCOLATE WAFFLE SUNDAES WITH FLAMBéED CHERRIES
This recipe is a take on the beloved flavor combination of chocolate and cherries, but with booze thanks to the rum flambeed cherry topping. Flambee refers to lighting the rum on fire, which burns off the alcohol while still imparting a rich flavor into the cherries and syrup. Don't forget to serve with ice cream for the ultimate waffle sundae!

- Make the waffles: Put the milk in a medium microwave-safe bowl and microwave until warm, about 1 minute. Remove 1/2 cup of the warm milk to a small bowl, sprinkle the yeast on top and set aside until foamy, 5 to 10 minutes. Stir the cocoa powder into the remaining 1 cup warm milk and set aside 5 minutes.
- Whisk the egg, vegetable oil, sugar and vanilla into the cocoa mixture. In a large bowl, whisk the flour and salt, then add the egg-cocoa mixture and the yeast mixture and stir until combined. (It's OK if there are some lumps.) Fold in the chocolate chips. Cover and set aside until the batter is almost doubled in size, 1 to 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 250˚ F. Heat a waffle iron to medium high. Brush with melted butter, then add 2/3 cup to 1 cup batter and cook until crisp, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove to a baking sheet, then repeat to make more waffles. Transfer the baking sheet to the oven to keep the waffles warm.
- Make the flambéed cherries: Combine the cherries, sugar, cinnamon stick, salt and water in a large skillet and bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring. Cover, reduce the heat to medium low and cook, swirling the pan occasionally, until the cherries are softened, 4 to 7 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and pour in the rum. Return to medium-high heat and carefully tilt the pan to ignite the rum, then swirl the pan until the flame burns out. Reduce the heat to medium and continue to simmer until the sauce coats the back of a spoon, 2 to 3 minutes. Add the butter and swirl the pan until melted.
- Divide the waffles among plates. Top each with a scoop of ice cream, then spoon the cherries and sauce on top.
WAFFLE SUNDAES
I love that whole flavor contrast/texture experience. Sweet and salty, smooth and crunchy, hot and cold. I came up with this a while ago when I was searching for midnight snack and couldn't decide between a waffle and ice cream. So why not have both? It's not really a recipe, more of a concept. Just use all of your favorites! I used Roselani's Kona Mud Pie ice cream. It's a Hawaiian brand, so if you don't live here, you can't find it. It's a Kona coffee ice cream, with chocolate sandwich cookies, and a mocha fudge sauce. Of course, just use whatever you want! And it's an awesome treat for breakfast! Cooking time is toasting the waffle.

- Toast (or make) waffle to your liking.
- At the same time, heat up hot fudge and caramel (or any other toppings you would like to use).

- Line two small baking pans with parchment paper. Using a miniature ice-cream scoop, place scoops of ice cream on prepared pan; transfer to freezer. Repeat process with sorbet. Let scoops freeze 30 minutes.
- Arrange scoops of ice cream and sorbet among four dishes; top with raspberry sauce, marshmallow sauce, and raspberries. Serve.

Fold in blueberries., In a small bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; fold into batter., Bake in a preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions until golden brown., Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, 1/4 cup orange juice and honey. Bring to a boil. Combine cornstarch and remaining orange juice until smooth; gradually stir into berry mixture. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Serve warm with waffles.
