DEBBIE'S AMAZING APPLE BREAD
I was given this recipe years ago by my friend Debbie. I've had it written down on a torn piece of paper for years and decided today that this recipe needs to be on AllRecipes. It is a moist, sweet, and delicious bread with a crispy crust. By far my favorite bread recipe!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a loaf pan.
- Beat eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl; add apples.
- Mix flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon in a separate bowl; add to apple mixture and stir just until evenly combined into a thick batter. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Cover loaf pan with aluminum foil; continue baking until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 15 minutes more. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.

- Preheat oven to 350°. Line 2 greased 8x4-in. loaf pans with parchment; grease paper., Whisk together first 6 ingredients. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, oil and vanilla; add to flour mixture, stirring just until moistened (batter will be thick). Fold in apples and walnuts. , Transfer to prepared pans. Bake until a toothpick inserted in each center comes out clean, 50-55 minutes. Cool in pans 10 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool.Freeze option: Securely wrap cooled loaves in plastic and foil, then freeze. To use, thaw at room temperature.

- For the batter, sift dry ingredients together.
- Cream butter and sugar until well-blended.
- Stir in eggs, applesauce, diced apples, sour cream, nuts, and raisins.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Gradually stir in flour mixture to form a smooth batter.
- Pour batter into a greased 9-inch loaf pan.
- For topping, combine all ingredients and spread on top of batter.
- Bake at 375 degrees F. for 50-60 minutes.
- Test doneness by inserting toothpick into the center of bread. If it comes out clean, it's done.

- In a bowl, cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in buttermilk and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixtures. Fold in apple and walnuts. Pour into a greased 8x4-in. loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.

- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, milk, butter, eggs, salt and 2 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough (dough will be sticky)., Turn onto a lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a bowl coated with cooking spray, turning once to coat the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour., For filling, in a small bowl, combine apples and walnuts. Combine the sugar, flour and cinnamon; stir into apple mixture. Punch dough down. Roll into a 14x12-in. rectangle. Spread butter to within 1/2 in. of edges; sprinkle with apple mixture. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a long side. Cut in half. Pinch seams to seal and tuck ends under., Place loaves seam side down in two 9x5-in. loaf pans coated with cooking spray.
