Apple Molasses Delights Treats For Dogs Recipes

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350.
• Whisk together the molasses, peanut butter, water, and vegetable oil.
• Combine the oats and flour. Slowly add to the wet ingredients.
• Mix thoroughly, drop tablespoonfuls onto a baking sheet, and press down.
• Bake for 25-30 minutes or until firm.
• The treats will keep well up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350.
• Mix together the flour and oats.
• Whisk together the apple, egg, vegetable oil, molasses, and water.
• Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet and mix into a firm dough.
• Roll dough to 1/4 inch thick, cut into desired shapes, and bake for 30-35 minutes or until firm and crisp.

• Pig ears are often available at Asian markets.
• Scrub the pig ears well, cleaning them under running tap water.
• (I've even scrubbed them with a bit of soap.) Using a pair of sharp, sturdy kitchen scissors, cut the ears into about three pieces each.
• Dip or brush each piece of ear with oil, then place them on a baking sheet. As a special treat, you can use peanut oil or coconut oil.
• When all ear pieces are dipped or brushed, sprinkle bouillon powder and a *little* bit of salt over the sheet's contents. Be careful not to over-salt them!
• (Most of the commercial ones I've bought for my dog send her running to her water dish for a huge drinking orgy after she's finished eating an ear. I think they contain too much salt, not to mention far too big for her small size.) Bake the ear pieces in the oven at a low 250 degrees for five or six hours.
• Drain on paper towels.
• Feed to your doggie one piece at a time - this is important for small dogs. My dog would happily eat a whole ear all at once, but I doubt it's good for her.
• These smaller chews are better for smaller dogs.

• Liquefy chicken liver and egg in blender.
• Add liver mixture to remaining ingredients and mix well.
• Pour into lightly greased oven-safe pan/tray/dish and bake at 400F for 20 minutes.
• Let cool for about 5 minutes. Cut into desired shape(s) when still warm.
• For a pretty cake, I cut out two flower shapes and stack them on top of each other slightly staggered to give the illusion of layers of petals.

• In a seperate bowl, combine the flower and baking powder, then add it to the wet ingredients.
• Knead until blended and press into a ball. Roll out the dough ontro a lightly floured surface. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Get creative - shape your dog's cookies into things they love, such as bones or tennis balls.
• Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 20 minutes. Cool before feeding to your dog. Fido will love these!

• Preheat oven to 350°F Combine flour, oats and baking powder in a large bowl. Mix the milk, peanut butter and molasses until smooth, add to dry ingredients. Knead dough with hands, it will be stiff. Roll out to 1/4" thick and cut into shapes.
• Bake for 20 minute or until lightly browned.
• Turn off oven and leave in oven until cool. Store in airtight container.
