Steps:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Using a sharp knife, score surface of ham crosswise and lengthwise, forming a crosshatch pattern about 1/4 inch deep and 1 inch apart. Place a clove in the center of each square.
- Place ham, fat side up, in a double-layer disposable aluminum roasting pan. Pat brown sugar onto the surface of the ham (expect some sugar to fall into the roasting pan). Transfer to oven, and bake until brown sugar just begins to melt, about 30 minutes.
- Remove ham from oven. Pour Coca-Cola over ham, letting it mix with the melted sugar in the bottom of the pan. Baste ham with sugar mixture. Return ham to oven, and bake for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, combine 1 cup reserved pineapple juice and the wine in a small bowl. Baste ham with pineapple mixture. Bake ham for a total of 16 minutes per pound, basting every 20 minutes with the juices in the bottom of the pan. During the last 20 minutes of baking time, decorate ham with pineapple rings. Use two to three toothpicks to hold each ring in place. Center a cherry in the center of each ring, and adhere with a toothpick.
- Transfer ham to a platter, removing all toothpicks. Garnish ham with fresh bay leaves. Serve.

AUNT KIM'S SUCCULENT EASTER HAM
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400°F with oven rack one above the bottom. Ham must be completely thawed. If skin is present, remove; leaving as much fat as possible. Score fat criss-cross. Pack brown sugar till you cannot see top of ham and no more will stick.
- Place ham uncovered in oven for approx. 20 min or till the brown sugar begins to caramelize. At this point gently pour the can of coke over the ham and return to oven uncovered lowering the heat to 350 or 375°F (depending on your oven). Baste and rotate the pan every 20 min. When the top is candied and caramelized approx. 2.5 hours, then your ham will be done.
- Let sit for 10 min. before slicing. If ham begins to brown quickly; loosely tent with foil between basting, removing foil the last 20 min.

OUR BEST EASTER HAM RECIPES - FOOD & WINE
From foodandwine.com
- Saba-and-Dijon-Glazed Easter Ham. This Easter ham recipe from chef Sarah Grueneberg uses saba—a sweet and slightly acidic syrup made from cooked-down grape must (similar to aged balsamic)—in the glaze, as well as Dijon mustard and salt.
- Spiced Brown Sugar Ham with Apple Jus. The secret to this super-tender ham is keeping it wrapped in foil while it's cooking and resting, letting it reabsorb any moisture released during the cooking process.
- Guinness-Glazed Ham. In this ham recipe, a simple glaze of dark stout and brown sugar develops a malty, caramel-like bittersweetness in the oven. Irish ham is a bit less salty than American ham and has a thin layer of fat, which absorbs the flavors of the glaze.
- Apple Cider Glazed Ham. Pulling off an impressive holiday ham at home takes just a few simple steps. Start with a good-quality, bone-in spiral-cut ham—make sure it is unglazed.
- Pomegranate-Jalapeño-Glazed Ham. To make the glaze for this ham recipe from chef Akasha Richmond, simmer store-bought jalapeño jelly with pomegranate juice and lemon juice.
- Ham Steaks in Madeira Sauce. The legendary Julia Child was a longtime Food & Wine contributor—and a champion of ham. For this recipe, she was inspired by a dish called jambon à la morvandelle, the signature dish of Alexandre Dumaine, one of France's most famous chefs in the 1930s, '40s, and '50s.
- Chile-Brined Fresh Ham. Chef Ryan Farr likes to brine fresh ham in a chile-spiked liquid. While it roasts, the pork skin turns wonderfully crackly in the oven.
- Spring Ham Steaks with Sweet Pea-Leek Pan Sauce. Ham steaks make a quick and low-key Easter dinner. Sear them until golden brown and dress them with a simple sauce made with peas, leek, fresh tarragon, and butter, with some salt and pepper for seasoning.
- Dr Pepper-Glazed Ham with Prunes. Most smoked hams are sold fully cooked, so "why bake them again?" meat master Bruce Aidells asks, before answering his own question: to improve the texture and add a homemade glaze—in this case, one made with Dr Pepper soda and prunes—for extra flavor.
- Crispy Fresh Ham with Rum Sauce. Chef Linda Japngie roasts this ham for nearly six hours, starting at 400°F for 45 minutes and then roasting it low and slow for another five hours at 275°F.
