THE BEST BANANA BREAD
The batter for this easy-to-make banana bread is enriched with sour cream, which gives it a subtle tang and super moist texture. In order to avoid this quick bread becoming tough and chewy, don't overmix the batter.

From bakingkneads.com
- The Ingredients. The ingredients you use to prepare your banana bread are the key elements to success. For instance, cream your own sugar and butter instead of using melted butter to get a fluffier texture.
- The Oven’s Temperature. The quality of your banana bread depends heavily upon your oven’s temperature. Sometimes, your banana bread looks brown and delicious from the outside.
- Baking Time. The expected baking time doesn’t guarantee ready and well-cooked banana bread. You might see signs that your banana bread is still rising.
- Wet Ingredients. Typically, any banana bread recipe contains wet ingredients such as milk, eggs, and butter. For best results, you must balance those ingredients with the other dry ingredients.
- The Ripeness of the Banana. To get rich fluffy banana bread, you should use ripe bananas that are starting to brown. In fact, it’s the mushy texture of ripe bananas that gives banana bread its sweet taste and fluffy quality.
- Leavening Agents. Also known as raising agents, leavening agents such as baking soda and baking powder are essential in any baking recipe. However, using them in excess causes the dough to become dense.
