CREAM CHEESE, HAVARTI, AND PARMESAN HERBED CHRISTMAS TREE
This delicious cream cheese-based appetizer is a great addition to any holiday party and is always a hit with guests due to its festive look! I have typically made this recipe for parties with the light or reduced fat options instead of regular and everyone has said it tastes great and looks even better. After the tree has reached desired firmness, set it on your serving platter and top the tree with lemon peel cut into the shape of a star. Serve with your choice of crackers. Triscuits® or Wheat Thins® work great!

BASIL PARMESAN PASTA SAUCE
"As a busy home health nurse, I'm committed to preparing meals that are quick and nutritious," shares Susan Houser of Anchorage, Alaska. "I came up with this rich and creamy sauce that is lower in fat than traditional white sauce. Dinner guests never believe it is made with fat-free milk."

BASIL PARMESAN DIP (COOKING LIGHT)
This addictive dip is from the July '09 Cooking Light issue. I served this for dipping with pita chips and also with bread cubes. It makes a WONDERFUL sandwich spread - we put it on a turkey sandwich. The original recipe didn't call for the olive oil; I decided to add it since it only adds about 1 fat gram per 2 tablespoon serving. So you can certainly leave it out if you're watching fat grams.
