CHEESEBURGER BROCCOLI CHOWDER
I invented this soup accidentally! Actually, it came about when I was new to cooking, and didn't know that "chowder" was a kind of soup-so I made mashed potatoes to go with the dish I was making. Steps:
- In a large saucepan, cook beef with onion and green pepper until the beef is no longer pink, 5-7 minutes; crumble beef; drain. Stir in soup, milk and Worcestershire sauce. Add broccoli and potatoes. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, until potatoes are tender, about 30 minutes.

BROCCOLI HAMBURGER CASSEROLE

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prepare the broccoli according to package directions.
- In a skillet over medium heat, mix the ground beef, mushrooms, and onion. Cook until beef is evenly brown; drain grease. Season with salt and pepper, and mix in cream of celery soup and sour cream. Continue cooking until heated through. Transfer to a medium baking dish, and evenly layer with broccoli. Top with cheese.
- Bake 1 hour in the preheated oven, until bubbly and lightly brown.

BROCCOLI CHEESE SOUP
This is a great, very flavorful soup. Good for serving at luncheons or special gatherings with a quiche. To make this soup a little fancier, add 1 cup sliced mushrooms and 1 cup white wine with the onions.

- In a stockpot, melt butter over medium heat. Cook onion in butter until softened. Stir in broccoli, and cover with chicken broth. Simmer until broccoli is tender, 10 to 15 minutes.
- Reduce heat, and stir in cheese cubes until melted. Mix in milk and garlic powder.
- In a small bowl, stir cornstarch into water until dissolved. Stir into soup; cook, stirring frequently, until thick.

- Brown ground beef in a large skillet.
- Drain fat away.
- Add minced garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add cream of chicken soup and cheese soup and mix.
- Add 1 cup of water or less making sure not to over flow your skillet and leaving room for rice and broccoli.
- Bring to boil.
- Add 1 cup of rice and mix.
- Add 1 cup of broccoli or less depending on space in skillet.
- Simmer on medium heat for 5 minutes.
