HOMEMADE DOG LIVER BITES
This homemade dog food is so easy to make with only 4 to 5 ingredients. A blender, liquidizer, or food processor is a great bonus and saves too much mess (but can be made without one, you just have to chop the liver well). They freeze very well. I have been making these yummy bites for my dogs for over 20 years and have not yet had a complaint! I make double or triple the mix so I always have some spare for doggy visitors. Great to chop/crumble up and put on regular dog food if pooch has lost his appetite. Also can conceal pills very well too.

CHICKEN LIVER TREATS FOR PUSSY CATS
I picked up this recipe from the local vet clinic several years ago - it contained garlic. I have since received information from a qualified member that garlic & onions are poison to cats and so I have removed the garlic from the recipe - it may not be as tasty but it will be safe - Thanks to the member that sent me the info! There is however some controversy as to the harmful effects of garlic & onion on cats - Check with your local vet,

CATNIP TREATS (FOR CATS)
This recipe was originally at www.divinerecipes.com, but I tweaked it. In the original it was suggested that you could use Tuna oil or Chicken stock/bouillon instead of the beef. It also said to form into biscuits by flatteng 1/2" balls of dough. Being lazy, I used my breadmaker to mix the ingredients and then did the rolling out method described below.

HOMEMADE CAT FOOD
We have a 20-year old cat, Smoki, who is a bit finicky, so I went looking for a recipe he would like. This one is my modification of Recipe #91152, adjusting it to utilize an entire one pound container of chicken livers. (The cat is the only one in the house who likes liver.) I also poach the livers before chopping to make them keep better in the fridge. Smoki loves this recipe, and it is cheaper than premium cat food. Our other cat, Hector, is only 18 months, and he loves it, too.

- Clean and cut up livers. Without oil, stir-fry livers until they are dry. Transfer to a blender or food processor and blend well. Add milk and egg then blend well again. (I used a blender)
- Place flour and semolina in a bowl. Add the liver “milk shake” mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough is formed.
- Place dough on a well floured surface and knead lightly until it is no longer sticky. Roll out to a thickness of 5mm. Cut out your choice of shapes from the dough. I used a bone shaped cutter.
