Steps:

  • **Shopper please buy x4 except for hazelnuts. Nuts will be omitted from the test**, In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars on medium speed for 3 minutes. Add 1 egg at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to batter. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. , Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 3 in. apart onto lightly greased baking sheets. Flatten lightly with a fork. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until light brown. Remove to a wire rack to cool.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 9-inch square pan with cooking spray.
  • In large bowl, mix cookie mix, butter, egg and dry pudding mix with spoon until soft dough forms. Stir in chopped chocolates. Press evenly in pan.
  • Bake 28 to 32 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Cut into 4 rows by 4 rows. Store in airtight container at room temperature.

Steps:

  • Grind 1 cup hazelnuts in a food processor. Knead into half of a 16.5-ounce package refrigerated sugar cookie dough. Roll out to 1/4 inch thick on a floured surface and cut into small rectangles. Transfer to a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake at 350 degrees F until golden, 15 minutes; let cool. Serve with chocolate-hazelnut spread for dipping.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Melt butter in a 9-in. square baking pan. On top of melted butter, evenly sprinkle crumbs, then coconut, then chocolate chips, then hazelnuts. Pour milk over all. Do not stir. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 30 minutes. Cool several hours before cutting. If desired drizzle with melted Nutella.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F and generously coat a 13x9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray (I lined with non-stick aluminum foil, allowing excess over sides of pan so I can lift them out to cut).
  • Beat together butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla in medium-size bowl until well blended.
  • Mix in flour, salt and 1/3 cup finely chopped hazelnuts.
  • Press evenly in prepared pan.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until top is golden brown.
  • Remove pan to wire rack and cool 10 minutes.
  • Spread top evenly with chocolate-hazelnut spread, then sprinkle with remaining hazelnuts.
  • Chill to set top, then cut into 24 bars.

  • Melt the butter in a small pan or in the microwave and pour it into a medium-sized bowl. Add in the brown sugar and granulated sugar and whisk vigorously until no sugar lumps remain. Whisk the egg, yolk, vanilla extract and ground hazelnuts.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ones and mix together with a spatula. Fold in the chocolate chunks and the chopped hazelnuts. Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours minimum. Take the dough out and allow to soften at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before using it.
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C) and line two large cookie sheets with parchment paper. Roll the dough into balls so that balls are taller than wide and place on each parchment paper, leaving enough space in between each of them.
