Steps:

  • 1. Mix meat with the one onion (minced), parsley, bread cubes, egg, salt and pepper.
  • 2. Make into paddies and fry to brown outside. Remove from pan.
  • 3. Put remaining ingredients in pan with the remaining chopped onions and hamburgers. Cover and simmer for about one hour.

Detroit Style Loose Meat Coney image

Steps:

  • 1. Brown the ground beef and onion in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat.
  • 2. Drain off the grease and return to the stove.
  • 3. Add the beef broth, salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder and garlic powder. Bring to a boil, then set the heat to low and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally for about 40 minutes or until nearly all of liquid is cooked off. Remove from the heat, cover, and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  • 4. To serve: Spoon onto steamed hot dog buns, Top with favorite chili sauce, mustard and diced onions.

3 lb ground beef

Steps:

  • Place the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring to crumble, until beef is browned. Drain. Transfer the beef and onion to a slow cooker and stir in the ketchup, sugar, vinegar and mustard. Season with celery seed, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and salt.
