SLOW COOKER CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP
A slow cooker chicken noodle soup with chicken, green onions, carrots, celery, and noodles.

Steps:
- Place chicken, water, celery, carrot, green onion, chicken bouillon, parsley, bay leaf, seasoned salt, salt, dried basil, and pepper into the bottom of a slow cooker. Cover and cook on Low until chicken breasts are no longer pink in the centers, 5 to 6 hours.
- Remove and discard bay leaf. Remove chicken, shred using 2 forks, and return to the pot. Stir in egg noodles.
- Cover and continue to cook on Low until noodles are tender, 20 to 30 minutes more.

This is an easy but wonderful recipe. My husband loves this stuff! I served it with homemade biscuits and homemade applesauce! What a great rainy-day meal!

Steps:
- In your crock pot, pour all three cans of soup and water.
- Whisk together until smooth.
- Stir in chicken, frozen vegetables, thyme, rosemary, celery salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low setting for 6-8 hours or high setting for 3-4 hours.
- After cook time, make sure the crock pot is set on high and add dried egg noodles.
- Cook on high for 20-30 minutes or until noodles are tender.

- Combine the diced celery, carrots, whole chicken breasts, chicken stock, thyme, basil, garlic, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker. Cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours.
- After three hours, pull 2 cups of liquid from the slow cooker. Melt the butter in a small sauce pan. Whisk in the flour until smooth. Slowly add the liquid from the crockpot. Start by adding about 2 tablespoons at a time (no need to measure) adding more once the liquid you just add is fully whisked in. The adding of liquid should take you more than 30 seconds, but less than 2 minutes.
- Add the roux to the slow cooker and stir to combine. Add in uncooked penne noodles and turn the slow cooker to high. Cook for 30 minutes.
- Turn off the slow cooker, remove the chicken breasts and shred them. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker. Stir in the heavy cream. Serve and enjoy.
