SWEET 'N' CRUNCHY MIX

My kids like snacks with a lot of crunch. So I combined a few of their favorite ingredients for this recipe, and it was an instant success. In fact, I've become famous in our neighborhood for this simply delicious mix. -Amy Briggs, Zimmerman, Minnesota

Sweet 'n' Crunchy Mix image

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cereals, graham crackers and pretzels. In a small bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon; pour over cereal mixture and toss to coat. Spread into two ungreased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. , Bake at 275° for 10 minutes. Stir; bake 10 minutes longer. Store in an airtight container.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 300° F. In large bowl, place cereal, almonds and fruit; set aside.
  • In 1-quart saucepan, heat brown sugar and butter over low heat, stirring occasionally, until butter is melted. Stir in cinnamon and ginger. Pour over cereal mixture; toss until evenly coated. Spread in ungreased 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan.
  • Bake 15 minutes, stirring twice. Spread on waxed paper. Cool about 30 minutes. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.
